lexapro and phentermine - Phentermine.com

I have been on 10 mg of lexapro for the last 2 years.I gained some weight on this medication and my doctor put me on phentermine. I have done well with the phentermine but am scared of any long term not noticeable side affects when combining the two meds. Does anyone have any info? My pharmacist seems not to think there is an issue but I am just wondering what everyone else has heard. Thanks

I was told by my ob that you can;t take both.

I see a bariatric doc at a weight loss clinic. He regularly places patients on both Lexapro (very low dose like yours) and Phen. You can also do research online under PhenPro.

There are certain antidepressants out there that you shouldn't combine and some you can, Lexapro is a safe one. I don't know the actual drug name, but you can research online. It's beleived a low dose of anti-depres meds helps the body keep the effects of the Phen longer.
