I was wondering if any one here has or is on Xenical? My family doctor gave me a persciption for it... I have been off Phen since June 28th and was thinking about using them. Thanks...

Princess~ I did take Xenical about 2yrs ago. I didn't have much luck with it at that time, but do feel that now it would probably be better. If you are eating pretty healthy, I think it could be a pretty good way to break down the extra fat that we don't need. I was not eating healthy at the time so had a very bad experience with it. Alls I can say if you do eat unhealthy have a toilet close by and be prepared for the worst. This isn't to saound bad, but even gas can be very gross!!! So eat healthy and I think you will do fine. I was actually thinking to start it again now that I am on a good schedule. Good luck and let us know how it turns out for you!!!

Hi Princess,
I tried Xenical a few years back. Baaaaaad experience! And I wasn't eating bad. It's to remove the fat from your body, so you don't absorb it all. Well, it removes it, allright!
I had eaten lunch out & had the salad bar, then went to do some shopping. Don't wanna get too icky, but by the time I ran to a public restroom, I had to throw away my pantyhose! Yikes, sorry but it happened. And you've constantly got gas- the kind that relieves itself! Forget trying to be ladylike & hold it in. No can do, chick.
Maybe it can work in a manageable way for some people, but for me it did not.

I seem to be doing ok with it-the weight is not coming off as fast as Phen was though...

U look great, Princess. Everything's fine in Mobile. We're in the west area, where elevation is higher. This area had very little damage. Thx for asking.

Tell everyone in Jamaica I said hello, lol. I love it there- beautiful mountains, people are too cool! Are u taking a cruise?

I wanna go on a cruise one day though-maybe when the kids are older. I love Jamaica as well-the people are so wonderful

I tried Xenical. It really does work for removing the fat from your body. I think it would work very good if you use it with Phentermine. My sister did this and lost a ton of weight. I only lost a couple of pounds on Xenical alone. I had stomach cramps and (this is embarrassing) also had accidents. I ruined my favorite pair of sweats! Your poop and gas will be greasy, so you will need to wear a sanitary pad or panty liner at all times (unless you never leave the house and can use the bathroom everytime you need to expel gas, which is often). It is worth trying. Every person has differant experiences, so don't rule it out. Just be prepared. Also, Xenical is VERY EXPENSIVE! With insurance and an employee discount, I still paid close to $200.00 for 1 months supply. Good luck and let us know how it works for you.

I've thought about taking it but the price is 84 bucks for 30 pills, my dr said it would be atleast 2 pills a day and holding the gas in isn't much of a option. I just can't imagine cutting a clients hair, and having to toot in the midst of it. if you try it out, post a update!! I wonder if taking gas medicine w/ it would help.

i actually asked my doctor for xenical or meridian, but he prescribed phen. i'm glad he did. cheaper, seems to be very effective (16 pounds in 3 weeks), and i like the buzz.

My Dr gives me both but I do nto take the Xenical daily. It works. You are suppose to take it after your heavy meal. It blocks fat. If you are eating greasy foods then you should expect greasy stool. What goes in must comes out. If you eat healthy (all salads all day) then I do not think you should take this as there is really no fat to block. It is expensive. I get it for $17 with my insurance but I only get the perscription every other month as I do not use it all the time and normally have left overs.

I am starting Xenical at the beginning of the week along side the phentermine - and I had to pay 200.00 for my monthly prescription! (That is the downfall of that medication) I have been on this before in the past and had good luck with it but I did have to stay in the bathroom alot! I have lost 33lbs since November on Phen alone but not happy with that so now going to attempt to try both and see what happens! Wish my luck!

Just some random advice -- keep in mind that salads are not always healthy. Things like cheese, bacon, nuts and croutons can be a source for fat. The *biggest* one though is dressing. If you're at a salad bar and it's not marked as low fat/cal, assume it's very, very high in fat and use sparingly. I once had a McD's salad with no croutons or cheese and only half the packet of dressing and it still gave me very mild effects.
