This salad is best when it sits in fridge overnight. It actually stays fresh for several days (and even becomes tastier). There is minimal fat in the Bacon Bits (like 1.5 per serving), small amount in Parmesan cheese and little-to-none in the mayo depending on if you use fat-free or light mayo.
Layer the following in order:
Lettuce
Bell Pepper, chopped
Onion, chopped
Peas, (if you use canned, drain first, if you use frozen-rinse under water)
Light or fat free Mayonnaise
Bacon bits
Parmesan cheese (sprinkle on top)
That's it. For additional protein, you can add chopped hard-boiled egg.
