Newbie - Kinda disappointed - Phentermine.com

I discovered this website last week and I was inspired by everyone's experience with phentermine. I made an appointment with a weight loss clinic, went in for tests, and finally got started yesterday. I am disappointed because instead of phentermine, I was given phendimetrazine (phen-d?) 35mg (yellow) to take @6am and 2pm daily. They also gave me 5-HTP and chromium picolinate. I am supposed to follow a 1300 calories per day diet which they planned out for me in detail, I liked that.

I am afraid that phen-d is not going to do anything for me and it's just a waste of money. I started taking it at 2pm yesterday and I took one this morning. I feel kinda drugged and have a pounding headache. I haven't noticed any loss in appetite, how long does it take for that to kick in? For those who started out on phen-d then were switched to phentermine, what was the reason for that? Was it not losing weight or due to side effects?

I was on Phen-D for 2 weeks, and I switched because I wasn't feeling any appetite suppression, or the energy that Phen gives (I had a friend on Phen at the same time, and she was doing great on it). I've been on Phen for 4 weeks now, and am SOOO GLAD I switched.

Thanks for the info. Karen. I have an appt in 2 weeks, depending on how this goes, I will ask to switch to phentermine. I did mention that I had expected to get phentermine and they actually said that according to the tests they did, I have a high metabolism and phen-d works better for people with high metabolism. I think this was bull. If I have a high metabolism, how come I got fat?
