Unhappy Help.. Very Frustrated!
I've been taking Phen for a week, I got on the scale this morning.. I only lost 1.9 lbs. I have not been counting calories, but I'll do my best to start. This morning after I weighed myself, I sat at my desk and wrote down everything I ate yesterday.. it totaled 780 calories.. is this why I'm not loosing like I should? Am I not eating enough? Someone please help me get on the right track. Thanks.

First off if that is your normal consupmtion of food, then I don't think you are eating enough. Try and get between 1000-1200 calories a day. Also, are you exercising and drinking plenty of water? That will make all the difference in the world.

I'm definitely drinking plenty of water.. excercise is an issue. But I have started walking at least 30 minutes 3 days a week.

Well at least summer is coming up. A good source of exercise is swimming. I can't wait, that will help take some of the pressure of getting your workouts done and over with. It feels more like playing instead of cardio.

Too bad I can't swim. That's one of the things on my list to do once I loose this weight.

well you don't have to swim in order to do water aerobics....it's easy on your joints too

I can feel your pain - it's soooo frustrating. Keep your head up and switch things up a bit.....most defiantly eat more calories - and lot's and lot's of water.......Some movement wouldn't hurt neither but I know how that goes easier said then done - right good luck to ya!

i too only lost 5 in the first 2 weeks. 3rd week now and its really starting to come off. if you think about it ..its healthier to lose slower. i can now fit into my old work pants. saved me alot of money. husband finally noticed i was losing my fat mommy shape. dont give up!!! it works.

You need to increase your calories sweetheart! The first week I was on phen there were some days I ate around that amount and then 1 day when I ate 1400! I just wasn't hungry and just couldn't eat when I wasnt!

This is how my doc put it to me...he told me to eat at least 1200 calories a day...to NEVER go below that point...In my mind I thought "The less calories I can eat..the better baby!" but he told me that if I went below 1200 my body would hold onto everything I ate because it would think it was starving and I would plateau!

The day I started Phen I got a membership to a gym and have been working out...I started out really slow...but as of my last doc's appointment I have made it to a point where I work out 90 minutes on the treadmill, hill setting-level13 and usually burn 1,000 calories..then do weights....so he asked me to bump my calorie intake up to 1400 a day! make sure you get enough to eat! if you work out hard eat more!

I'm only hitting the gym hard to build my endurance up since summer is coming up and I have been asked to play on two softball teams...the little weight loss I have had must be showing because no one has asked me to play the past two summers and I can really play! I have until May to build my endurance...at which time I probably won't work so hard at the gym because this team I want to play with has EXCRUCIATING practices! running, drills the whole nine yards and they won't have pity on me just because i'm the fat girl!! Yeah I'm a Tom Boy!

Sorry I went off on a Tangent! Just make sure you are getting enough nutritious food into your body..it's like fuel and your body needs it to run!

Began taking phen 02-08 at a starting weight of 222lbs
My weight at the end of my initial three months on phen 05-08: 185 lbs
Back on phen!!!! Weight as of 08-13-08: 185
Week 1 08-20-08= 180lbs!!!!! YAY!!!! I will take any loss big or small
Week 2=
Week 3=

As far as eating goes I make sure that my meals are packed with healthy calories. I don't use oil to cook anymore. I want my meals to consist of 3/4 of the plate being protein and vegetables. Try and watch eating too many salts. You can't go wrong with eating healthy food. A normal day for me consists of about 1100 calories. I get those in 3 meals. My doctor don't want me snacking or having mini meals. I wish you well, and hope you continue to stay strong. This site is amazing when you are having problems.
