I have an important question..?

I want to go on Phentermine because i was originally put on this stuff called Topamax to lose weight and i lost about 25 lbs but i recently just put it all back on so im getting off that stuff and i want to go on that. But will my psychiatrist be able to prescribe that stuff to me if i tell her i want to go on it to lose weight? and if she cant who do i go to that can? Just wondering, thank you. Oh yeah and im 5'7 158 lbs i use to be 172 i was sucha chub ahah then i went down to 142 and people were treating me so differently.
But i just feel so fat right now and spring is gonna be here in a month or 2 so i need to get with it!!!!

Hi Kbaby,

I was actually on phentermine and topomax 4 years ago. It just gave it an extra punch. I took it cause I suffer from migraines 4-6 times a month. Alot of people here go to weight loss clinics, or their doctors ( I guess primary docs) prescribe it. I go to a clinic and pay out of pocket, but it's worth it. I don't think my doc would give it to me.
