thyroid function test

hi does anyone know how long phen stays in the system after one stops taking it? i am due for a thyroid test next week cos hv been suffering severe hair loss which i m sure is due to the phen but was wondering if anyone knew how long it stays in the blood stream after stopping....have asked on the net but did not get a straight answer..thanks yr help all

my doctor says for 6 months or longer. before she gave it to me she asked me if i still want to have a baby, if so we would have to wait 6-12 months so that the drug was out of my body.
