Question
A friend whose sister had been taking phentermine went back to her dr last week and he prescribed phentermine along with the natural product, 5HTP. He told her this was the natural form of Pondimin. I have taken 5HTP by itself and had no luck with it, but haven't tried it with the phentermine. It is supposed to affect the seratonin levels like the pondimin did. Has anyone heard of this? If so, what are the results of this combination?

I tried 5-HTP w/ Phentermine and it wasn't anything at all like phen/fen. And after a while, the 5-HTP made me nauseated (I had a friend, previous phen/fen user, who had the same reaction). It might work well for folks who hadn't taken phen/fen, though.
