Nope. My dh won't let me go. He insists I am acting like a child for wanting to go. He says if he cannot go then I am not going. He then rubbed it in my face that i do not have a job and he would be paying for it so um yep. I dunno...I thought we could both go, but he totally went apeshtick and now won't even think about it. at first he said we could go then he changed his mind. Then...he had the cajones to tell me "lets not go to Reno, lets just go to Monterey that weekend". I was like hell no you don't mister!! I told him I want to go see my friends and he said I don't know them and blah blah. It ****s being married to someone who acts like he owns me.

Do other people have this problem? How do they deal? I have never asked for the chance to go anywhere ever. I don't understand why he has to turn this into a fight. It makes me wonder why i married this guy, seriously!!

Oh that kind of stuff just ticks me off! He acts that way because you put up with it.. He says you are being childish?? He is by saying you dont work so you cant go or I dont want to go so you cant go! I would be going ape on him.

Tell him fine, you are going to get a job and he can pay for freaking childcare if he thinks you dont work! Oh man.. Im stopping because men that pull that really tick me off big time..

My hubby tried that with me a few times and I put him in his place fast. I am not a possession. I dont have to ask permission, I am an adult. We might discuss things but there is no way he will get away with forbidding me to do something.

Men treat you the way you let them treat you. If you dont put up with it then they learn fast. You WORK all year taking care of him and the kids and the house and the least he can do is give you money to have a break once a year!
