Phen Cocktail- Anyone Tried this??

My doctor gave me Phentermine, Topamax and desipramine- Has anyone tried this? The desipramine is supposed to make you not want to snack.

As crazy as this may sound.. you may want to call a pharmacist and make sure all of these drugs work well together. It is often better just using phentermine as it does work. We all must sasdly remember that the weight does not leave overnight and sometimes doctors who have never been in the same situation..overprescribe. I work in the hospital and have seen some crazy cases with phentermine and other drug mixes. Stay safe and best of luck losing lbs!!

Hello, I'm doing the Phentermine and Topomax (Topiramate) combination as well. It worked for a few months, but now I've hit plateau again. And the Topomax is expensive!! Without my insurance it would be $800.00! That's a little insane. If I don't take the Topo now though, I can't even feel the Phent. half of the time.

I was on the Topomax for migraines and lost 30lbs because i had no appetite but started having major twitching in my face. I got so bad that i weaned myself off of them a d of course the weight came right back! Just something to think about!

I tried Topomax and it seriously gave me alzheimers! Not really but I acted like it. My family thought I had lost it. It helped my daughter lose weight when she was put on it for seizure disorder.

I recently went to a doctor and he prescribed me Phen and Topamax. I thought I was losing my mind! All I could figure it could be would be the Topamax because I had taken Phen before and it didn't make me feel like this! I couldn't stand it so after only 3days of taking it I stopped. I have lost 11lbs in my first week. I feel normal since stopping the Topamax.
