Lexapro & Phen

Just want to know if is safe to take both at the same time? been taking lexapro 10mg for 8months. My Dr. told me to stop taking lex and take phen instead. Im just wondering if i stop taking my lexapro i might have panic attack again. Any one have any idea or same problem as mine. TNX

I really think if your Dr told you to stop taking the lexapro that you should. There are certain meds that they warn not to take with Phen and I thought I remembered that as one of them. Talk to your Dr about your concern and see if there is an alternative to help with your anxiety. You can also talk to your Pharmacist about taking meds at the same time! Make sure you wean off & not just stop cold turkey. I hope that your Dr told you the ways to wean & start. I think you are supposed to wait 2 weeks before starting the Phen after the Lexapro is out of your system.

Thanks for the info. i guess my best bet is wait 1 week then start taking phen. im pretty sure my panic attack is gone....HOPE SO!
