I've taken Phentermine in the past, the 37.5 tablets ..I only lasted a week on them, I just didn't fall through with it. I loved the way it decreased my appetite, but some of the annoying side affects I had were feeling tired after a couple hours of taking it, dry mouth, the jitters, mood swings, and i felt irritable alot of the time. I went to the doctor a month ago and I told him I'm thinking about getting back on the phentermine so he gave me some 150 mg Wellbutrin to try with it, he said it would help with weight loss and to quit smoking. Has anyone taken these 2 together? I know I've taken paxil a few times and it made me feel just blah, really out of it, like I had no feelings for anything, does wellbutrin make you feel the same way? Any advice or info would be great!

Wellbutrin had the opp affect on me. i ate like a damn horse. i didn't like it at all. i had all the symptoms you did when you first took phen. igave up after a week or two also. BUT I tried it again after i tried bontril. Bontrill did nothing for me so I went back to phen but with a different attitude. I gave up all soda diet included,. If i go off of it for a few days it does make me sleepy as soon as i start taking it. But i hung in there and it all balanced out. Sometimes i get iritable and i think the more I move the more I get rid of that feeling. The dry mouth shoudl be goo because you are suppose to be drinking lots of wter anyway. SO good luck. I think you should maybe restart the phen by itself. Just keep track of what you eat and how does it make you feel.
You can do.

Yeah I'm the same way, I've noticed the more I do stuff and keep myself busy the less irritable i feel on phen. I was going to try the wellbutrin with it because the tablets I have expire next month, but maybe I'll just stick with then phen and give it a few wks, see if the side affects go away after awhile. I drink alot of water and workout/dance when I'm on phen, and I try to drink the weight loss shakes that you get from GNC and other stores.

i have started taking wellbutrin with phen. i have taken the wellbutrin in the past and didnt have any side effects other than some tingling in my fingers. i hope now that when it gets back in my system it will help with the irritability and moodiness.
