From what I know, this is absolutely not safe to be taken with any stimulants. Since this is a concern, if you still want to try, definitely talk to your dr. first. If not, it could really make things difficult, when trying to regulate your meds.

i just started taking phen. i took adderall for 7 years and i would say the combo would be horrible!! i would not suggest this to any one.

I have taken a combo of ritalin and phen and adderall and phen. I am not saying it is healthy and I would def. ask your doc....but im still alive:)

my shrink let me have phentermine while on 80 mg of adderall a day. i wondered if it was safe, but figured he should know. now i wonder.

adderall waS originally prescribed for weightloss.

i asked my pharmacist(sp?) about this and she said that phen is about 6x stronger than adderall and the combo was a no-no!

I also have ADD and take adderall. My doctor prescribed them both to me and I've never had a problem.
I have never had a problem with the both of them. But it's all relative. You should definitely discuss it with your doctor. But it may be more an issue of how well you're tolerating each med and how many mgs you're taking.
For instance, a 10 mg adderall and half a phentermine could be less than a 37.5 phentermine. You never know. But nothing about the combination, in and of itself, is dangerous.
Heaviest weight was 291 in Jan 2005. Used phentermine, dieting and exercise dropped to a low of 207 by October 2005.
Stopped Phen, diet and regular exercise and gained 30lbs. Started Phen for 2nd time a week ago and i'm down 6lbs already.
This works if you work with it!
I thought the you loose a lot of weight on ADD meds, at least that's what I heard. So why would you need the Phen as well?

Can you believe my MD prescribed Adderall and Phentermine together? If I'm not mistaken (and I'm usually not ;) ), Adderall, or Dextro-Amphetamine, was manufactured when my mom was in her twenties under the diet pill brand name "Dexadrene" or something close to that. Does anyone disagree that this is potentially dangerous?
