Multiple Diagnosis and Multiple Medications can lead to Obesity. Couple that with the lack of ability or motivation to exercise and you have a very serious problem. Not only is Obesity a Major issue but you also will be fighting your body's deconditioning. Muscles need oxygen to work. The more weight makes muscles work harder. Your heart is a muscle. You breath harder to compensate for the oxygen you need just to move.

The reason why I am writing this is because a few months ago I could not walk from my living room to my kitchen (maybe 20 ft)and I weighed less than I do now. I have to force myself to move. I am in pain. I get short of breath. I have to stop. But slowly I am getting muscle strength back in my legs. I can stand and do the dishes. I have been trying to cook and I've increased to 3 days a week. I am trying to figure my own rehabilitation program. I am 37 and Im not done yet. I am getting better. Getting this weight off will definetly help. Im carrying an extra person. So I have much going on and I get winded really easy. I have much riding on this. I have to do this. I don't want to have to take my wheel chair with me forever.
