Hi All - I took phentermine after the birth of my twins a few years ago and lost 30 lbs!! Well now I am getting divorced and gained back 25 lbs. I have no health insurance and don't want to pay for the extensive blood work, EKGs, etc. to renew my prescription. Also, I am scared to death of needles and HATE having my blood drawn. I am 40, in good health - no high blood pressure, heart issues, etc. I need to find a doctor in or around Orange County California who can prescribe phen/adipex 37.5 without the expense of all the tests (and needles-yikes) that some doctors require. Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks you in advance!!!

Any doctor worth seeing would never give you phen without running labwork/ekg. They wouldn't risk losing their liscense just to make a few bucks. It'll cost you between $150 -$200 for your 1st appt. at most weight loss centers which includes your tests and a months supply of phen, and as far as the pain goes it's not that bad. I don't want to seem harsh but you would be better off putting aside some money and when you can afford to make an appointment and be prepared for a little pain. Just my .02. Good luck.

Hello! I live in Orange County. I think it depends on if you have insurance or not and what kind it is? Since you don't I'd have to ask my mom if you can go to that doctor without insurance and how much it would cost if you don't have any. I go to a doctor in Santa Ana and I'm extremely happy with her as my doctor. My insurance just requires that I pay the co-payment every time I visit.
All I had to do was get a blood test to check my cholesterol and my thyroid. And I got my blood pressure taken and of course my height and weight were recorded. But it's only one blood test and it really doesn't hurt very much at all. It's worth it. She gave me the prescription right away after I had positive results on the tests. My insurance doesn't cover the medicine, so I just fill it at CVS and I pay $32 for the generic. I only need to go in every 2 weeks to check my weight and blood pressure with her and I have to see her every month for a new prescription. Last edited by Tpilia; June 30th, 2009 at 10:46 AM. |

Welcome
![]() First of all, ignore carCutie. They create accounts just to advertise. We don't recommend buying phen online. It can be dangerous and is very expensive. You can do a search here about it and make up your own mind though. I am sorry about your divorce and weight gain No good. I hope that you are able to find a doctor to prescribe phen for you. I agree with Sus, any doctor worth seeing is going to require some testing. I am actually terrified of having blood drawn too! Remember...No pain, no gain! Oh wait, we don't want gain do we?! J/K Anyways, it IS worth it as I am sure you already know Where in Orange County are you from? We are from Cypress. We are currently living in Riverside County though because of my husbands job but we will be back there soon! Good Luck!!
