Wink Clinched jaw/uncontrollable foot movement anyone?

Hey all! I've been taking Phentermine - ** by weight loss doctor - for about 2 months and I've recently experienced my jaw clinching down and my left foot being restless. I try not to move my foot but it seems to have a mind of its own. My jaw doesn't really bother me since there is no pain involved, it just seems to be a mind over matter issue. I've also noticed my body temp being elevated as well. I feel it's probably the fat and calories being burned off. I don't mind the mild sweating, I just get hot when others are not when doing sedatary things like playing cards. I have had a slightly itchy scalp, but nothing that is a nuisance. The weight loss is so worth the side affects. I'm just wondering if these side affects are a sign that something dangerous is going on? I plan on asking my doctor....I just wanted some input from the forum. Thanks for your input!

I would call your Doctor. I have not had any of those.

I have the clenched jaw, don't really notice it unless I've been working at my computer too long. The foot tapping comes and goes. For me it is however, controllable. Phentermine is in the family of drugs that amphetamines like crank and speed, etc. are in. The temperature increase is from increased heart rate.
If your doctor didn't tell you about this, maybe you should google the side affects of amphetamines. Although I don't think that we would expect to feel the level of side affects of those on hard illegal drugs, Phentermine is a stimulant.
As far as the itchy scalp goes that is a common reaction to stimulants. Itchyness somewhere on the body (usually somewhere on the head or face) Like vicodin or codein can make your face itchy (for me, it's the outside of my nose when I've had to take Vicodin)..... same kind of thing. We all have different reactions to drugs.
If it is truly bothering you though, then yes..... you should speak with your doctor about it-

Even if the clenched jaw doesn't hurt, you should definitely break that habit. I have done thousands of dollars of damage to my teeth clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth (before I started Phen-- also, I had an incredibly stressful job.) It's very bad on your teeth and eventually you might have to get crowns. Or an implant.

Now that you're aware that you do it, stop every time you catch yourself. Eventually you'll either break the habit or greatly reduce it. Take it from someone who learned the hard way.
