Unhappy Week 1: Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi everyone!
i have been on phen for 8 days now (37.5 mg white tablet w/blue flecks). i initially began taking half a tablet in the morning. I had no decrease in hunger; the only thing i noticed was an increase in thirst. I am following a diet of approx 1200-1300 calories. for the last 2 days i increased the dose to a full tablet 1 hour after bfast. i still dont feel any decrease in appetite. i will begin an exercise regimine tomorrow.

i'd love some advice--maybe i'm doing something wrong or just need to give it more time. i know weight loss is a journey--it just seems that everyone is having a totally different experience than me, just want to make sure im not missing the key!

    thanks for all your help!!

Don't get discouraged. It took a full 2 weeks for me to notice big changes in my appetite and cravings. And really, you've only been on the full dose for two days. I did the same thing. I started with 1/2 a pill and noticed nothing remarkable so moved to a full pill after a few days.
I take mine as soon as I get up with a full glass of water. The earlier you take it the less likely you will be to have sleep issues. My script actually reads one pill upon arising and before any meals. Give the full dose a chance to work. The hardest thing I noticed was the dry mouth...I work with the public and it was so bad I'd put my hand over my mouth so people wouldn't see me struggling to speak. I carried water and gum everywhere. I also felt a little jittery but it went away after a few weeks. The dry mouth however has become a companion......I just deal with. There's not much I'll let get in the way of losing this weight once and for all!!!!!
Just be patient. If after a few weeks of the full dose if you don't notice you crave nothing and can barely think of food, call your dr. He or she may have an answer or a solution. Don't give up. It'll all be worth it when your clothes start to hang on you and you move to smaller sizes. I've gone from a 24.....XXL.....sz 10 panties....size 44d bra....to a 16 misses (no more plus sizes for me).... a lg top (and have a few Med.'s I get into) sz. 8 panties and a 38 D bra. Even my shoes fit lose!!!
Hang in there. I know you want it all now. That's human nature. It seems like yesterday that I started but it's 43 pounds later. And before you know you'll be helping someone else get through this early rough patch.
    STAY COOL!!!!! Di

Hello. The phen works best for me if I take it about 2hrs before I eat anything. I take it as soon as I wake up. And its working great ! Good luck!!

If I were you, I'd wait a little longer after eating to take it. One hour isn't enough. It should be taken one hour before eating, or TWO hours after eating. And drink LOTS of water too.

I agree with everyone else and trying to make sure your taking phen on an empty stomach and drinking a full glass of water with it as well. Also remember some of the side effects like energy and hunger are just that, side effects. Not everyone has the same effect, if you still feel hunger make sure you are getting a lot of protein and fiber, these will keep you full longer and protein will help your muscles burn fat. Hope this helps!!!
Also- Make sure you drink half your weight in oz of water each day, our bodies mistake hunger for thirst.
