Bad Side Effects??

Hey guys! I am brand new to this forum and am about to start taking phentermine. (First dose tomorrow). I was just wondering about unpleasant side effects, mainly on the heart. I used to take ephedra when it was still legal a few years ago and after a while, I started getting irregular heartbeats (or heart palpitations) and even though it was probably nothing, they really freaked me out. I am just wondering if yall experience the same thing with phentermine. It's not a faster heartbeat that worries me, it is just the constant awareness of your heart beating that makes me nervous and I am sure getting nervous about it just makes it worse. I don't want to sound like a worry-wart but I have been searching the internet like crazy for clinical studies done on this medication and have turned up empty handed. I just don't understand how phen-fen was so bad but just phentermine is ok. Any help yall could give me, I would really appreciate it!

That was one of my big question before i started. The first time was three years ago. I never found out about anything to do with the heart. I lost 45 lbs the first time i tried it and then kept it off for 1 1/2 years then i had my triplets and now i started again and lost 25 lbs in the first month.

It was the Fen not the Phen that caused the heart problems. Yes Phen can cause heart palpitations. You should be able to look up the side effects on a drug checking site.

Yeah I was just a little nervous. I found the side effects on numerous websites but I was just wondering how it effected all of you guys. I took my first pill today and feel absolutely amazing and no problems at all with my heart. I am very excited about what is to come!
