Default Hello All

So, this is my second day on Phentermine. I am taking the 37.5 mg, one half pill per day. I have already noticed a HUGE difference in my energy level (cleaned my whole house yesterday, went to bed at 10, then got up at 5 and wrote 2 pages of quiz questions for a class I TA).

Going to the gym today at 9. The last 4 weeks my energy level has been so low that I've overslept my Sunday morning step class. Well, not today!

I am 29 and 5' 5". Weight fluctuates between 158 and 164 lbs. I just noticed in the past few months how large I have gotten. I've never been fat before. I've always been "bulky" because I exercise a lot, but I've grown this belly recently . . . and I hate it! That, and I've never been so tired before in my life as these past few months.

I have read a ton of your posts and I am really excited. I hope this works!!

Sounds like your off to a great start . welcome to the board, remember that since you dont have too much weight to lose you may not lose it as quick, isnt the side effect of energy great? Just dont get discouraged if it goes away a bit (it will) it still does help me with the "not tired" feeling but doesnt give me great amounts of energy. You will do great!

Thank you. If for no other reason, I like this drug because it gives me the get-up-and-go I have been lacking. Just got back from the gym & realized how out of shape I have gotten. I weighed myself there & actually am at 164, so I will use that as my starting weight.
Does anyone have an idea as to how much weight I should expect to lose per week if I play by the rules? And should I continue to take the 1/2 pill, or should I kick it up to a whole pill after a while? My doc didn't seem to care, I was just afraid of the side effects so I asked for a low dose.
I am posting the humiliating truth below. These will be my "before" pictures. I was in such bad denial . . .

I would kill to have your body lmao! Everyone is different so there is no way we could tell you how much weight you will lose each week. You only have 30 lbs to go where I had 70-80 to begin with and have 40-50 to go now. You will probably not lose as fast because you just dont have as much to go..it ****s I know. yeah Phen is a really great motivator and so is this board hehe. I lost 10 lbs my fist week (all water weight) 7 lbs the next but only ended up losing 10 for my first month because my body needed some of that water back. Most lose around 1-5 lbs the first week if they are bigger. Once you get used to the effects of phen..about a week you should be able to bump it up to the full 37.5 mg..my body is tough so I just started out taking the 37.5 mg..where others cant handle that much at first.

Thanks for saying that, you are sweet. And you are a very pretty gal.

I would really like to get rid of the Buddah Belly for sure. I mean, letting my friends rub it for good luck only goes so far . . .

I must say that you look great in your before pictures! But, of course its hard to see that when you are the one carrying the extra weight around!

Well, it is day 4 now. I weighed myself at work and seem to have dropped a few. I'm still not back to 160 yet, so I know it is just water weight but I'll take it! I feel great! I feel like I got my old self back & am wondering how I ever ended up in such a rut. I'm eating about 1/2 (or even less) of what I normally do and probably sleeping only 5hrs a night and not the least bit tired. This stuff is amazing! I can't wait until my first week is up, I'm dying to know if I've lost . . .

I think you look awsome! But as someone else said, it's different when it's not you carrying it around. Good for you for taking control of your weight before it became a bigger issue; many of us wish we had done the same. Just remember that a positive mental attitude will take you far. Keep up the good work and let us know how your first week turns out!
