Welcome, Simone! I'm a noobie here, too...but I am on my 2nd month of Phen. I am not sure if your doc told you already, but what mine said was to take the Phen early in the morning, with a full glass of water (I don't always do that. eek) and on an empty stomach. Also, I don't eat after I take it until about 30 minutes to 1 hour after I take it.
Some of the side effects I experienced (everyone is different of course) was dry mouth, tummy cramps (diarrhea,

), sweating like a virgin on prom night, and trouble sleeping. Oy...the insomnia...
Anyway, most of that has subsided. I work Full Time, have 4 kids, go to college 3/4 time so yeah..I get the zero time to yourself thing...
So I walk either early in the morning (if my toddler goes to bed when she's supposed to) or I walk around a track at lunch time, near my office building. I make sure it is a good brisk walk, but not running/jogging.
For me, I'm partially OCD (I "caught" it from my OCD husband LOL) and I log everything I eat...watching basically just calorie intake. The weight has been coming off so far, pretty quickly.
