~~Waves to all of the other OKlahoma Phensters. ~~
Hi all & Welcome, nurseo. Grove, here. Just moved from SW Florida to Oklahoma back in May, but my husband used to live here about 17 or so years ago.
I also am new to the forums & started Phen the first week of August. This is a wonderful site & the folks here are so helpful, insightful, friendly, & supportive. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.
Got ya beat on the age thing though... I'll be 56 come November. Don't feel it but the body sure does. I've always had trouble loosing weight & with my hysterectomy 3 years ago & being a couch potato, the pounds just started adding up. I'm been telling myself for a long time to do something about it but never did. I got to the point though that I was finding myself having trouble walking or going up stairs or even getting up off the floor, etc. so I said "Enough!, I'm too young for this s***" (pardon the french).
I talked to my doctor & he put me on Phen. I've heard he's lost tons of weight too, so understands. My problem is not the Phen, it's working exactly like it should, but I just still don't seem to be loosing weight like I thought I would. As usual, it took me a month just to loose 10 lbs & in the last week, the scale jumps UP 3 lbs! To my knowledge, I've not done anything to warrant that.. Needless to say, I'm aggravated a bit by it. But, I'll keep plugging at it & see what happens.

At least I can say I'm stronger now & can actually move around quite easily. I hate exercising but gotta say, it's been my lifesaver & I look forward to feeling even better & stronger as I go.
Well, I seem to have gotten chatty & just meant to say Hi & welcome, so...
Hi & Welcome!
Oh... & Rose... I can relate. My husband does ALL the cooking, so it's been a challenge & aggravation to him to learn to cook lighter. He's a fabulous cook but he's used to cooking BIG meals, with lots of sauces & gravies, which equates to lots of fats, flours, butter. So you can imagine how he fusses when I go in there & watch over him like a hawk & make him use 1 tbs. butter instead of a stick, or Pam instead of 1/4 cup oil. or a dusting of flour instead of dredging stuff in it. He's always spoiled me, even to the point of making up my plate. He still does, but... I'm there & showing & teaching him about portion control. THAT's the hardest part for him, I think. He fusses everytime. LOL. Oh well...
