Hi everyone. My name is Rachael. I'm an RN and I work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I am single and have a 6 yr old son.

I've gained 60 pounds in the last year. I was on a bunch of meds for Depression and Anxiety, and I believe they were part of the problem. I've been on many diets for the last year....but I am unable to lose weight like I used to. I've had trouble with my weight since the age of 7.

I have an eating disorder, which always scares me when i try to lose weight. But this time I am going to do it healthy.

I heard of Adipex from a girl I work with. I went to the Dr. today and weighed in at 194. I was only this heavy when i was pregnant with my son. I got up to 208 in my pregnancy. I got down to 148 a few months after I delivered.

I started Adipex today. I'm a little nervous. I'm not sure what to expect. I drink plenty of water and get quite a bit of exercise. I watch what I eat too, so I don't know why the pounds won't come off. When the Dr. told me my weight today, I started crying. I am so upset, but am so very motivated to lose it. My goal is to get to 140 pounds.

If anyone could tell me what I can expect these first weeks on this med, I would appreciate it so much.

Welcome! I take phenD but the side effects are pretty much the same; dry mouth, headaches (for few days), and a lil insomnia for a few days. But its not that bad and they usually go away in a good amount of time. Im sure u will do good. Iv noticed that first time users tend to lose a good amount of weight their first time on the meds. I started adipex Wendsday two days ago and have lost 6lbs Im so blown away I can hardly control myself. I dont sleep really good but I heard that will go away I hope everything goes good for you.
