I am wondering other than appetite suppressing and supposed energy, what is it that phen does? I do believe all the people that talk so highly of it I am just wondering how exactly it works because a lot of the things that i eat are already low calorie and I realize that before I was eating more than a portion but I know that I need to eat smaller portions and more often to lose and speed up my metabolism, but isn't it hard to do when it's supposed to supress your hunger? I mean so far it seems to work but I don't usually get hungry during the day anyway, I eat mostly out of boredom or stress so can this still help me? I can tell that I get full faster but then I still need to keep eating through the day right? Also I was wondering what kind of eating habits most of u have changed to, because my doc says that it needs to be low carb and high protein and that I shouldn't eat any fruit or yogurt or anything with sugar. But honestly I feel like if it were that easy to change how I eat then I wouldn't need the pills. I have done atkins before and lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks but it was so restrictive It was hard to stick to so that is why I gained it back. I have been changing my eating habits a lot. I haven't had soda or sugary drinks just water or unsweetend tea and I hardly eat bread I have started eating only cereals like shredded wheat or raisin bran or grape nuts with yogurt and trail mix with dried friut and nuts and granola and unsweetend applesauce. I have been doing this for about 3 months now and lost 13 pounds without even noticing. I don't eat a lot of sweets except for lately cookies and ice cream but now I can avoid that stuff, I have just told myself that if I do crave sugar or something sweet I can have trail mix or yogurt with grape nuts. So anyway sorry to ramble I am just hoping to get some tips on how u guys eat that would still be healthy but not impossible for food addicts ya know.
thanks

hey girly!!!
i am on day 3 of phen and im sooo energetic i cant sit still!! imnot hungry either, but eat a little every few hours to keep the metabolism going!! but im so fidgety right now i cant throughly read your post, but i will giveu my 2 cents anyhow. drinks lots of water, and celery is a life saver for me!! great snack to munch on ESPECIALLY if u are a stress/binger/emotional eater, cause celery is a negative calorie food (burns more calories to digest it, then u absorb, each stalk is like 10 calories at the most), has fiber, and will fill u up and takes lots of chewing so it helps with the "chew" psychology of emotional eating.
as for meals for the family, i have a dh and mil that live with me and i cook lots of grilled chicken, steak, porkribs, ect. (i low carb, only veggies and meat and healthy fats). i make lots of tossed salads and for them i will buy a can of new potatoes, or slice some potatoes, sautee in olive oil and parsley, add some seasoning, and they love em! along with these bagged veggies called "steamers" are great as are any frozen bagged veggies to just throw on the grill in tin foil with the meat and walla! quick and easy!! u will be surprised how yummy eating healthy can be!!! im the only one on a diet in my household, yet everyone loves what i cook. like last night i made homemade sugar free bbq sauce, put it in a pot with boneless pork ribs and cooked for an hour in the oven. for me i had a salad and some green beans. for dh and the mil, they had salad and i made some baked potatoes. healthy and very nutritious, balanced, no preservatives, or chemicals. nothing processed is my motto!!
anyway im rambling. but im right there with ya!! keep in touch!!
ohhh and i use the rule of thumb, a portion of something is 1 fistful. so 1 portion of meat is 1 fistful, ect. and wow im very full when i eat. !!
