Hello from Indiana!

Good Morning Ladies!

So glad I found this weight loss group!! I have been on Phen (and other meds because of a thyroid issue) for a month and I have already lost 12.5 pounds!! I have to say, I am SO excited!! I have been unable to lose ANY weight since the birth of my first child EIGHT years ago!! Although, I have had NO problem gaining!!

So, looking for New friends and support!! Can't wait to find all of that and MORE here!!

12.5lbs in one month is awesome! You will definitely have the support from all of us here. As you browse the site, check out the Challenge Groups. You'll find that joining a challenge group will help you to benchmark your weight loss goals within a set time. In any case, be sure to check in often especially when you need a pick-me-up, push, shove, nudge, tap...or if we have to give you some tough love...a possible slap and shaking of the shoulders might get you back on track.

HI!
I am from Greenwood (just South of Indianapolis), Indiana! Welcome! I use this site even though I am not on any meds at this time, I have been on adipex previously, per a weight loss dr., but I got tired of spending almost $300 per month to see him.
I went to an endocrinologist yesterday to get my thyroid checked- in detail. I gained 14lbs. in 6 weeks, there has to be something wrong with it! Once this gets figured out, I am going to begin my search (again) for a dr. that will prescribe phen. to me. My family dr. won't do it...very discouraging!!!
It sounds like you are already kicking butt! What meds are you taking? Keep up the awesome work girl!!

Celeste - I am seeing my family dr. I have tried on my own a million times and have failed. So it is nice to actaully be able to lose weight now!! Fishers is about 2 hrs. south of where I live. We went to the high school in Fishers earlier this year for my son's wrestling tournement.
