Default hello, new here with a personal question
Hello everybody.

I'm hoping to start phen this next week again. I haven't been on it for almost 2 years and when I was on it, I got extremely constipated. Sorry if TMI.

I have a constipation issue to begin with and I take miralax on a regular basis to help with this. I am just curious if anybody else has had this issue and if so, what do you take for it.

Edited to say that while on phen I had the best habits and ate a lot of fiber each day. I think I did too much fiber too soon and didn't try to do it gradually and I think that was why it hurt my digestion so much. This time around, I will be more cautious of that. I thought fiber would help with the constipation, but my bowels are messed up and no matter what I do, nothing seemed to help.

If you go into the 'My Experience with Phen' board, I'm sure you will find a lot of help in there. A lot of the ladies have had this problem (thankfully I am not one of them!) But there are quite a few threads in there about it, and you can always ask. Welcome to the board.

It is said that we are supposed to get 25g of fiber each day so keep track and see if you're getting that much. Also, if you're not drinking enough water that could be a problem. Yes, some of us do get a little stopped up. For me it is happening for the first time since starting phen. Whenever I've had this issue in my life before I would drink Magnesium Citrate. It's in a small clear bottle usually near the fiber supplements or laxatives. It's only $1.19 where I get it. Just follow the directions and hopefully it will fix it! It always has for me. It doesn't taste the best, but it could be a lot worse, and stool softener pills don't help me, and laxative pills (even the 'gentle' ones) produce way too much results for me for way too long. That's why I do the magnesium citrate. I'm actually *truly* drinking it right now as I am at the computer!!

Lightbulb Fiber Supplements & Water...
This is my first week on Phen and I have noticed that I need extra fiber even though I try to drink plenty of water, eat fruit and cut out all of my coffee/caffeine intake. There is a very mild fiber supplement I have found that works extremely well for me. It is from Dr. Natura. I don't know if I can list the website or not (I don't want to be reprimanded for promoting a product) so just do a Google search on "Dr. Natura". Their other products are interesting - I have not tried them. I do not have any interest in promoting one product over the other and I have no affiliation with this company other than I have used their fiber supplement for four years and have been very pleased. Good luck!! I am also finding that working out four to five days a week has helped promote "movement" as well. As others have said, it is very important to drink plenty of water!

Thanks for letting me know where to post. Sorry if it was in the wrong place.

I was also drinking a ton of water to....anywhere from 60-80 ounces a day. I think a lot of the problem was to that almost everything I ate was fiber related....I wasn't getting a lot of "healthy fats" or other soluable fibers so to speak. I don't know, I just don't want to have this problem again.

I will check out that website. Thanks a lot.

Ibluedragon, I did the Dr natura cleanse a month or so ago and it worked great. I have been pretty regular since I stopped too. I plan on starting it again in a month so so. I do the colonix system with the capsules, tea and fiber....is that what you did?

Hi Scatanafas - yes, I actually used the capsules with the KleriTea and Colonix fiber supplement together, but the tea was too strong for my stomach - so I just use the fiber supplement.

I noticed that you are very close to your goal, congratulations! What is the best/safest way to take yourself off of Phen? Do you begin taking smaller doses? I haven't heard much from users after they have reached their goals. I am wondering if, as long as I maintain a regular workout regimen and eat proper portions/meals, will it be difficult for me to keep it off?

well thanks... I look forward to keeping in touch with you. I'd love to get down below 135, but I have to do baby steps right now.

I will stick with my miralax everyday, but if it isn't doing the trick..... I will need to do something. I went onto the site and I just saw like colon cleanse stuff. NOt sure I need a colon cleanse....just something that will keep the bowel movements coming at a regular time....2-3 times a day and are are soft. (sorry, i know this is tmi) Maybe I actually need to do a cleanse though. Do a cleanse at the beginning of starting phen next week, to kick start the diet.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted on how it's going.

just went on there again and looked at some of that one guy's pics (Corey something). That is SO disgusting. Some of the things he was describing sounds exactly LIKE ME.

Thank you for referring me to the site, I think I'm going to order the colon cleanse.
