Default 8 days in.... my start so far
Hi anyone interested in reading my post. I am currently at work its friday so I am not working very hard. I am going to post the honest truth about my time on Phentermine. Lets start out with my Doctors instructions to me.

Take Phentermine in the AM
Take these vitamins
Life extension Multi vitamin
Linolic Acid
Chitosan
Docusate Sodium 250mg

Do the half diet and keep to 1600 calories

Half diet is eat half of what I normally eat.

And alot of Cardio - elliptical, swimming, treadmill


What I've been doing.
Taking all the "prescribed" pills
Not doing very well on my diet
Not doing well on working out

Its not that the phen does not work on me it does but I have another issue that is my downfall. Does anyone else smoke cannibus? I am really trying to kick the habit but its just one of those things that I love to do. If only the phen kicked that urge. Ok so I get the major munchies and my diet that I did so well during the day goes right out the window!!! I know I am sabotoging myself but I wish there was a way I could still smoke and not want to eat.

MY GOALS
Kick the bud
Work out 6 days a week
eat small meals every 3 hours to rev up my metabolism

So if anyone has some encouraging words or just want to help me get my butt in gear or any newbies want to join forces and start together let me know and please please feel free to leave your thoughts.

Sounds like you are off to a good start. Have you lost any weight so far?

Umm I can tell you right now you are sabotaging your diet w/the herbal refreshment. Thats why I watch my alcohol intake because it makes you hungry, and as long as you are messing with something that gives u the munchies you are going to mess your whole weight loss goals.

Hey there! The herbal refreshment will kill your ability to do cardio. You might want to should take some time and decide if this is what you really want. Why spend the money and effort on something that you acknowledge that you are sabotaging? I know movie stars who gave up the cannibus while training for a role. You have to make those choices. I say this with all the good intentions in the world. And on a weight loss site you know that no one can make you be ready. You have to be on your own.

ok...well I don't think there is anything wrong with smoking weed, and just for the record I personally think it shouldn't be illegal-only regulated in the same manner as alcohol...but I still don't smoke weed. I used to, but I sort started feeling the same way-it ALWAYS sabotaged my healthy choices and it turns out it just not worth it to me anymore-the risk of buying it, etc. etc. If I ever do smoke it's for a *special* occassion.

That being said-I agree with the last poster saying that noone can make you ready for something but yourself. Just like quitting cigarettes-try to take it slow. I don't know how much you smoke, but try cutting that in half like you are trying to do with your food? Take notice of how you feel when you aren't smoking weed, because I found that I felt much better in a lot of different ways while not smoking-mentally, emotionally and physically.

I read that the drug Acomplia (sp?) works by blocking the same part of the brain that triggors the munchies when smoking pot....maybe that would be a better choice for you other than phen because maybe it will help you to rid yourself of the munchies?? I don't know if it would really do that...but of course that's all up to you and your doctor

No I haven't lost any weight. I feel like I am losing inches because my clothes fit better and my stomach which is my problem area is getting flatter, but the scale stays the same, so it may be all in my head. (God I hope not ) Also my extracuriculars are not contributing to my weight loss goal what so ever. So I will go green free for as long as I can and see how my progress is. i will let you know.

OK OK I know what your saying, I do want to lose the weight so I need to "nip it in the bud" hahaha I am making the choice. And I don't partake in it like all the time mostly on the weekends but thats enough to derail my entire week of hard work.

I don't do it everyday, all day... more like on the weekends- if I could just do it without the munchies would be sooo freaking Ideal! But I tried and its not working and I can lose more weight if I just kick the habit- For awhile and yeah Special Occassions. I kicked drinking totally with no problem, but this will take alot of will power! We shall see what happens within the next week. Will I stick to my goals and stay green free? We shall see.

I don't have an issue with people smoking weed, in fact I think it should be legal. I don't smoke it, no one I hang out with does, I was just giving you my opinion. You know it's messing up your results, but only when you are tired of it doing that will you stop. It's the weight or the weed. You can't have both.
