Unhappy not seeing much weight loss~frustrated

Hi there, I'm new to this board. I'm trying to lose 20 more pounds. I lost 5 the first month, and I've been stuck for 2 weeks at 150.4. I'm exercising moderately, and trying to watch what I eat. They upped my dose to 37.5mg, and I'm also taking triamterene. I'm getting so frustrated, and starting to think it's a waste of money. Any thoughts or encouragement? Also I want to start the nicoderm cq patch for 10 or less cigs a day. Is this safe?

Hey you two... Don't give up! You will get there. It takes time and both of you are closer to your goal weights so it can be a slower progression. I highly suggest that you both take the time to measure yourselves. (Extrapounds.com has a body log to help keep track.) It is a wonderful motivator to see those numbers. I measured myself for the first time two weeks ago and I have lost 20.25" as of this morning. My scale hasn't moved much, but the inches are amazing and keep me going.

Scooty... maybe try more exercise or keep a better idea of how many calories you are eating. You just may have to change something up a bit. That's all. Good luck quitting smoking as well.

Pheny... I am glad you haven't given up. Sometimes the scale is very discouraging, but keep looking for those positive changes.

Both of you... keep it up. I know it can be hard, but it will all pay off in the end. We CAN do this!
    Keep on Keepin' on!

Since you both don't have a bunch to lose, you will lose it much slower than those of us who have a bunch to lose. Dont' get discouraged. Just keep eating right and make sure you exercise and get in plenty of water. You will get there.
