It's not sad; you're trying to do something about it, aren't you? That's AWESOME! You're trying to get healthier for your kids and your sister, and most importantly yourself. That's awesome x 2, in my humble opinion.

I totally know how you feel - and while I can't speak for everyone else here, I'd be willing to bet most of us have felt that way or feel that way now. I'm also an emotional eater, which I think can make it twice as hard to eat healthy and develop healthy eating habits.
While I don't post a lot I'm here just about every day reading, and the people here are so friendly and helpful. So if you have questions, don't be afraid to ask! Most common advice seems to be drink water - lots and lots of water, make yourself eat at regular (2-4 hour) intervals; even if you're not really hungry, and get in any type of exercise you're able to do ... even if it's just taking a basket of clothes upstairs yourself instead of someone else doing it.
