Default Help!!!!
HI everyone. Thanks for your support! Well I played softball on sunday, and re pulled my thigh muscle. I first pulled it thursday, mostly likey over did it. Didnt rest, or stay off of it. So now I'm forced to rest. A WHOLE WEEK. I'm very nervous that all the hard work will slowly come un-done. I thought it was better, then I took off to run after hitting the ball, and PAIN. I cried in front of everyone. I've lost 1 more pound. So now my weight is 195.2. If anyone know anything about pulled mucles or how to make them better help. I'm been resting-staying off it. ice, then warm moist heat. then ice. for about 24 hours now. I'm worried. I'll be missing walking 3 miles 3 days a week, 2 days of cardio class, and 1 weight training class.

Default grapes/bananas/walking
Whenever I overdo it, I eat grapes and try to choke down a banana here and there. Pro football players eat red grapes after workouts and games to help their muscles restored themselves (my chiropractor told me this). I also think you should keep walking, just slower and not as long. Maybe a couple shorter walks during the day. Keep the muscle moving, but not working hard.

I did know about bananas, I've been taking a potassium tablet every day. I'll try the grapes! Thanks for the advice. I'm going to walk tonight, slower. I'm skipping cardio class, I think Its a little soon for that still. Its a very intense class.

Let your diet do the work and rest that muscle,light exercise will keep it flexible,the ice and heat will help the healing and time will do the rest.

kansmom, I am an MRI Tech that works at an Ortho office, I would add antiinflamitory such as Aleeve or Advil for a few days. Be sure to take as directed and don't miss a dose. Hope your better soon. Keep moving but don't over do it.

Can I take those w/ my phen? Thats the only reason I havent took anything yet? Still icing, and going slow. I havent done anything since sunday. well daily stuff I've done. It will feel better then hurt. I'm nervous to do anything. I wanna get better so I can go to my classes and softball and my walks. Thanks for the help by the way!
