You arent getting enough calories!! If you feel like you are starving, then you probably need to eat! Try adding in an extra serving or two or fruit...or keep hard boiled eggs on hand for when you need something between meals.

Hello!

What are you eating that totals 1000 calories?(type of foods), and if you feel like you are starving then you probably are! You have to eat in order to lose the weight!!!! When are you taking your pill 2 hours prior to food intake or 2 hours after? This is not professional medical advice, but you have to play around with the pill time to see what works best for you. Besides, You have lost 2lbs and that is 2lbs less than what you were!!!!!! Are you losing inches? Are your clothes fitting looser than normal? Count those small blessing because they add up to bigger ones. Just remain faithful to your regime, b\c you have a good one and you are dedicated. You will be fine, just keep it up, you'll see!!! Blessings

I think you should do something radical with your diet. Sometimes our metabolism just needs a shock to get it to wake up. If I were you, I would do a 180 and cut out all carbs for two days. I wouldn't worry too much about the calories, but keep your meats lean (or with good-for-you fish oils). So--I would go buy some chicken breasts and salmon. Grill them, broil them, whatever--just don't put any sugary or starchy sauces on them. If you like broccoli, you can steam it and add salt/pepper and a little lemon juice. Eat eggs for breakfast--boiled, poached, microwaved on a Pam-sprayed plate--whatever. These high protein meats will help you feel full, and since there's virtually no sugar or starch here, your body will burn the protein then burn your own fat for fuel. In a low fat & calorie diet, your body has to burn the sugar and starches before it can work on the fat and protein--I'm not positive how to explain the mechanics here, but I woud wager that scale would move if you did this a couple days! You would also find that if you counted your calories, they would be very low anyway--lean meats are pretty low in calories, and eggs are only about 100 each.

Good luck with whatever you try!

Not eating correctly will stall your metabolism and you will lose slowly, eating a balanced diet will fuel your metabolism and you will start to lose faster, try to eat at least 1000-1200 calories a day.

I try to eat healthy foods, but I get scared that I am going to pig out and end up blowing it.

This is really good advice. I have somewhat of the same problem as well. I don't feel like I'm losing like I should. I have noticed that my weight goes back and fourth, I gain 2lbs and then I lost them back in a couple of days but I haven't lost any more weight in a week!! I see all the informationl you provided above but I need help perparing my meals in advance. I have 4 children and after I cook for them , I either don't have time to cook for me or I'm just too tired, or I just simply can't afford to buy stuff I need AND things they like. Any suggestions??

I guess that depends on how picky your kids are! If they're like mine and will eat whatever is put in front of them, that makes it easy to just feed everyone the same thing. You could just add some fruits, dairy, and starches to their meal, like applesauce and yogurt. You could go buy a bag of IQF chicken breasts and cook them all, then stick in the freezer or fridge to just heat up later. Do you have Target Supercenters where you live? That's where I buy salmon. You can get a frozen filet for about $6, it feeds our family of five. You could buy an extra and cook it and stick it in the fridge for you to munch on. You have Sam's Club near you? When we are eating alot of steamed broccoli, I buy a huge bag of washed and trimmed fresh broccoli for about $3-$4. Stays good if you eat it within about a week. I have a steamer pan, I just put water in the bottom, bring it to a boil, and cook for about 5-7 minutes. Steaming retains alot of the nutrients you lose when boiling veggies.

I used to think that cooking for the kids was a real chore when I had to have something different for myself when dieting--but if you plan it out, you can eat the same meal, with some deletions or replacements for you. It also helps to reinforce healthy eating habits in your kids!
