I think you should do something radical with your diet. Sometimes our metabolism just needs a shock to get it to wake up. If I were you, I would do a 180 and cut out all carbs for two days. I wouldn't worry too much about the calories, but keep your meats lean (or with good-for-you fish oils). So--I would go buy some chicken breasts and salmon. Grill them, broil them, whatever--just don't put any sugary or starchy sauces on them. If you like broccoli, you can steam it and add salt/pepper and a little lemon juice. Eat eggs for breakfast--boiled, poached, microwaved on a Pam-sprayed plate--whatever. These high protein meats will help you feel full, and since there's virtually no sugar or starch here, your body will burn the protein then burn your own fat for fuel. In a low fat & calorie diet, your body has to burn the sugar and starches before it can work on the fat and protein--I'm not positive how to explain the mechanics here, but I woud wager that scale would move if you did this a couple days! You would also find that if you counted your calories, they would be very low anyway--lean meats are pretty low in calories, and eggs are only about 100 each.
Good luck with whatever you try!
