Hi there,

I took my first dose of Phentermine yesterday. I am happy with the way I had a feeling of fullness and the energy I had all day. Today though I have a headache and feel a little run down. Did anyone else experience this?

yes, that is normal. As far as the headaches, make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Whenever I feel a headache coming on, I take a motrin and it goes away. Also, if you are taking the 37.5 mg, you may want to break it in half and take half in the AM and half in the PM.....Good Luck!!!

Hi! I am actually new to these forums but I started taking phen on May 12, 2008. The first week or two was almost a surreal experience for me. I experienced headaches daily and terrible insomnia. I felt like I was "hungover" most of the time. I even thought about stopping the pills. I did start taking half a pill instead of a full pill and it helped a bit. I am happy to say that now I am three weeks in and the side effects seem to have vanished! I went to my 2 week check up at my dr last week, and had lost ten pounds! I am also back to taking a full pill and I am feeling great! Hang in there, it does get better!

The first day i too phen i also too my 100mg minocycline. and i think one pill got stuck my throat.
i was puking all day. and had a headache.

but the second day was much better
drank a full glass of water instead of just a sip to down the 2 pills haha.

it really does get better!
and you'll be amazed by your first week results!

You will notice many side effects. Everyone is different. Some people say they have NEVER had one side effect and others (such as myself) have had them all. The first day I started Phen I felt a burst of energy. The next two days I had insomnia( then that went away), a week later I got non stop constipation (which I still go through), jitters, fast heartbeats, "cotton mouth", and SEVERE headaches that still occur. The headaches have been so severe in the past that it hurt to lay my head on the pillow and I thought about getting off Phen, but they became managable. You have to take the good with the bad sometimes. I keep telling myslef that the results are worth it because the weight is coming off. ya it is also my first day on phen i feel wonderful though?!!! i am wondering how much i should expect to loose the first month.. i know its different for everyone but what was everyones loss in the first month? anything else i should know about it please please please let me know i love the advice and i like to hear other peoples stories!

i'll be glad to help you.. as someone did for me when i asked

1. go to user cp (top of your page first blue underlined word(s)
and i don't know about everyone else (if ppl. do it diffrent) but i went to edit signature and copied and pasted mine in there) lastly.. you will need a ticker (that you can get on several other sites)

so there you have it!

I wish everyone on here luck. I think I took Phen years ago from a shady doc my sis and I went to. We both lost 30 pounds in a month. BUT, we were both in our 20's and we were crazy active. Now, I am coming off my 3rd back surgery and don't have the energy I used to!! I had just lost close to 40 pounds after my 2nd surgery and then got into a bad car accident. Not my fault, two kids were racing. I am lucky to be alive. But, now I am back on my feet and ready to get back to that weight!

The first two months that I took my meds they had a MP 367 (or maybe 267, Iknow it was MP) and the third month I went to a different clinic and the pills had A159 imprinted on them.
I say all that to say: the first two months were great. NO headaches at all. But the third month (different distributor) I have headaches everyday and usually don't take a whole pill.
I don't know if anyone else has had an experience like this or not. I looked the phentermine up and learned that the letters imprinted on the pills tell you what company distributed the generic pill. Next, I called all the local pharmacies to find out which one has the meds with the MP imprint.
My boyfriend tells me that it's all in my head, but I know that it is not. I don't have headaches at all with this med.

I have had headaches. I am still in my first week. This is day 4. I haven't weight yet. I am waiting until Monday. I am having trouble sleeping. It seems to be getting better. I am anxious to know if there is any difference.

Well, good luck to everyone with our goals. I hope you guys can help keep me motivated. My friends are understanding, but they don't really get it. The largest one of them is a size 5, so it's hard to talk them about these kinds of things.

I started Phen on 4/18/08 (30mg) and I have had most if not all of the side effects (jitters, dry mouth, insomnia, SEVERE headaches, bloated, constipation (which still occurs) and a few more that I can't think of at the moment). The headsche lasted a month and a week (non stop); some days were worst than others. Sometimes the headaches were so bad it hurt to lay my head on the PILLOW. But I struggled through it hoping that the results would be well worth it. So, yes, it is normal. Now I have no headaches (thank goodness). Good Luck and keep us posted!

Hi everyone, I am new to Phen and new to the forum. I have been taking Phen for two days. Both days I got really bad headaches. I have also had trouble with my vision. My eyes are super dry (I wear contacts) and everything seems blurry. It's a real nuisance! Anyone else have this side effect?
