Navy... 4 lbs your first week is absolutely GREAT! I started on 30mg and the difference between those and 37.5 is that they are time released. That's why you may feel hungrier at times. But, be sure you are eating enough, like every 4 hours, to make sure you aren't starving yourself and your body is saying "FEED ME!".
Yes, empty stomach is the way to take it, either before or after breakfast. When you first start, I recommend taking it BEFORE eating anything, b/c the earlier you take it, the better you can sleep. Once you are on it awhile, if it seems you are more hungry in the evening hours, taking it around 10am, after breakfast will help it last longer through the day/evening. It takes about a month to get used to it and start sleeping again on 30mg. I am on 37.5's now and I take Benadryl or Aleve to help me sleep!
