Default Just researching and wanted to ask a question
Hello everyone,I'm looking to lose weight so for about a month now I've been eating healthy and going to the gym 5 days a week for an hour...I pretty much eat the reg 3 meals but I have my 100-calorie snacks throughout the day or a piece of fruit. I cut out sugar, soda's and everything is low in carbs and calories, also whole grain. Of course I want my pounds to come off over night but we know thats not going to happen,so I decided I'm going to look into taking phentermine because my aunt took it and lost alot of weight. Only thing is I was reading some of the post and some people were complaining it wasn't taking their appetite away and some complained it did so much they didn't eat. I love food, and I have no problems eating healthy anymore so I want to be able to eat. So I'm kinda confused on what to do. I want it to help me but I want to still eat because I know I need to because my body needs it. Soooo my question is if I start the phentermine, will it hurt me because I still plan on eating regular healthy meals?? And will it not work because I'm eating regular?
Thanks

Dear Rhonda, My Dr. gave me phentermine about 3 years ago because I'm 5'2 and weighed 183! (Afternoon weigh in, so give me a break!) Anyway, it really, really worked for me I lost 50 lbs. It over a year, but I did it. I really had no bad side effects with phentermine, and I think it's a very good diet pill. While losing my Dr. (whom I totally trust) saw me once a month. He said a person can over ride any diet med., but it was me and my desire to lose weight that did it. Yeah, I was hungry alot, but I saw I was losing about 5lbs. a week at first; what a great motivator that was for me! Anyway, phentermine gets my vote as a diet pill that does work. Emily Gale

I'm a second timer using Phen. It sounds like you are a perfect candidate for Phen (but consult with a doctor on your health history--high blood pressure, etc.) because you have already taken the right steps towards weight loss and healthy living. Phen will just maximize what you are already doing. I know you've been reading some people loosing 30-40 lbs without working out or really changing their eating habits and that is possible on Phen cause I did it. But the right way to do it, is to change or lifestyle before hand and more than likely you will stick to it and won't have to get back on it. But the other post applies too, once you start to lose it will motivate you to do better. I experienced that to a point the first time around. I put my weight back on and some from pregnancy and stress. This time I started working out before starting Phen. I took red meat out my diet. And started drinking the right amount of water. Its hard, but I am feeling and looking better. My skin is coming around as well.

Good Luck on your weight loss journey.

Yes, I also agree with the above comments -- taking phen gives you that moment, that opportunity to take a look at what you're eating and decide if it is the right thing or wrong thing you are about to eat. You say that you are already eating good, so that's an excellent start. I have found that phen helps you to eat smaller amounts of foods too. I don't really eat many salads; had enough of them with my other diets. I stay away from desserts and sweets, but I eat what everyone else in my family is eating, just in much smaller portions. And I now exercise, something I didn't do before, and I drink a lot of water now too. About 5 years back, I did the Atkins diet, and while I lost a lot of weight, I didn't exercise; I wasn't doing it in a healthy way, and ended up gaining it all back (and some). But now, it's different - my daughter even told me that when I lost before, I didn't look healthy, but that now I do. I have also read that the phen helps to speed up your metabolism; I don't know how true that is, but I am so glad I decided to give phen a try. Glad that you are checking into it, and good luck to you; keep us posted on what you decide, and how your progress is going!!
