Hi, I know how you feel, I'm new too and posted yesturday just to say hi and got no replies, which confused me seems like a lack of support for newbies. So I just wanted to say hi to you and good luck w/Phen. I took my 1st pills yesturday and felt like I was on crack (as if I knew how that felt lol) but still. Today was not so bad, it has taken away my hunger and cravings, but I have to be careful to eat becuase I don't want my body to go into starvation which will result in screwing up my metabolism. Well if you need a buddy or support I'm here trying to lose 30lbs.

I'm a newbie also, but I've been posting in a different thread (My experience with Phentermine) and I get responses. So I just wanted to stop by and say hi and welcome. I just started last Saturday and have lost 8lbs!!! I'm really excited! I totally can understand how you feel time4joy, the first two days I did not get any sleep even when I tried and I was just up and at it...I felt like the little energizer bunny (I did also get a Vitamin B-12 shot w/my pills)...but after the first two days I was fine and I got some sleep and it's been great since!!! Keep me posted you guys!

I am new here also, and I have 70 pounds to lose. I am only on 15mg of phen and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. 3 years ago when I took the same pill I lost all kinds of weight. I was hoping for the same result this time. My doc gave me 3 refills last time and I was at 170 when i started. This time I am at 205 and he only gave me 1 refill. Hopefully this stuff starts working or i might have to take 2 at a time!! I hope we all have success.

Skylrmiranda, I am on the 30mg dosage and works wonders for me (Thank GOD!). I've been reading different post and have come to understand that many people are put on different dosages but I don't know why. Did your doctor tell you that 15mg would be the highest that s/he can put you on? Maybe you should tell your doctor how you are feeling on 15mg and see what s/he has to say. I've also read that alot of doctors have to keep a strict watch on their phentermine prescriptions and have been rationing it out, so maybe that's the reason for only 1 refill.

Skinny, My doc didn't really tell me anything I told him that I would like to be on phentermine again to help me lose weight and he said thats fine we can try it for a little while. I have to go back in Dec. 4th for blood work. He wants to check my thyroid. I took one pill this morning at 9am and took another about 20 mintues ago and I actually feel it now. I feel like I want to clean! One thing that ****s is that I have to take 2 to feel anything at all and all my pills are going to be used up quick. Does Phen make anyone else kind mean? This stuff gives me an attitude I feel like I am quick to snap! I wish that I could have some big weight loss like you your first week! I have an ab lounge that i use to stack clothes on after i fold them, maybe i should use it for the right purpose..lol

Yeah it does **** that you have to use 2 pills to get "The Feeling" because your pills are gonna be finished sooner than you expected, but December 4th is just around the corner so I don't know how many pills the doctor gave you, but if it finishes before then, will you be able to get your refill or did s/he put a time constraint on that? I could just not imagine being on 15mg because I've already gotten used to the 30mg. But on the bright side, since you've taken the 2nd half, you should see the difference, as you said you have and that pill will do its work from there!
I have had some nasty mood swings. The other day, I had a nasty attitude and was just upset! I don't know why, but I had a mood change, it didn't last for long though. Then the following day my co-worker passed gas like right next to me and that just p****d me off, I felt disrespected and outraged. Now she's done this already and I was a little upset and ignored it but this time around I just couldn't let it go, I even sprayed my victorias secret spray her way so she can get a clue..lol

He didn't say a time limit so I don't know if he will give me anymore refills or not. If he doesn't I will just go to another doctor. Their are plenty of docs around here that will give it to you as long as you are 40 pounds overweight. I am way over 40 pounds overweight. I was hanging at 150 until I got pregnant with my 20 month old then it went straight down hill from there I just keep putting on the weight. Not to mention I had to be put on prednisone for a month so I gained 12 pounds while i was on that this past month. I dont even own a scale so i have to wait until i go to my grandmothers this weekend to weigh myself, hopefully i will have some loss.

I am sure that you will have no problem seeing success with your weightloss soon. You just watch n see. You did it before and you could do it again. We have so much support and motivation here on this website.

Hi ladies!

Skinny - how many times a day do you take your phen? I was prescribed 20mg and I'm suppose to take it twice a day w/another pill. Although I felt all crazy when I took my first initial pill, I haven't felt like that since, I think I'm getting use to it already in 2 days, I wonder if I need a stronger dose? I hope it doesn't not work if I'm use to it.

Also Sky - my dr. will see me again in the begining of Dec and at that point he will determine if I need a higher or lower dose. It's really working w/my cravings, I do get hungry but not hungry hungry like I can just eat anything. They told me to eat like every 2 hrs but can't always because I'm at work and I get to busy to eat. So maybe your dr will do the same. I had a baby girl 9 months ago, so I understand, I am at my breaking point, I can't keep this weight on and it seem'd like nothing was working, so that's why I tried Phen. I am scared of gaining all the weight back once I'm off of it.

I hope that he lets me stay on phen longer. The last time I took it my body got used to it after 2 months and it started losing its affect. But back then I only needed to take one pill a day and I wouldn't want to eat anything at all. After 2 months when it stopped working i just started taking 2 pills a day and it worked for another couple months. I don't know why he only prescribed me 15mg..Everyone on here that I see is on more than that.

Time4joy, I was prescribed 30mg and only take 1 before 11am every day per instructions from the weight loss clinic. If your dosage isn't enough, I think you should call the doctor and explain how you're feeling so maybe s/he can prescribe you a stronger dosage...just a thought.

Skylrmiranda, I have been reading other postings and I've read that some people don't get immune to it and others do after a while so at that point they go off of it just for a little while and come back on it and it starts working just as it did in the beginning...I guess that would be a good way of venturing out on your own but I do hope that I can stay as long as I need to and I know you guys feel the same way too ...
