Hi, my name is Stacy, I'm 30 and I just started phen 2 days ago. They have me taking 1/2 a pill daily (18.5mg) and it is not effective. The 1st day I got it and took it I was starving and sleepy. The second day I took it I fell asleep an hour later and when I woke up I took another 1/2. It did make me a little not hungry, but barely. So today I took both halfs (one regular 37mg) and I'm still hungry, and still have no energy. When I got prescribed, I also got a B-12 shot. Is it common to still be hungry and tired? Obviously I am taking it because I need to curb my appetite and I really need energy so I can start exercising. Thanks!

Is this your first time ever taking the pills? It makes since if it isn't because your tolerance level could be above the 18.5mg dose, therefore, causing you to need to take the whole pill. If not, than you need to give it some time. Also check with your doctor who prescribed the pills.

I would definitely check with the doctor. I started a few weeks ago and my doctor said that phen will make most people jumpy, jittery, not hungry, etc., but it will have the opposite effect for some people.
