Today I completed my first week on phen and I was able to lose six pounds!!! I am very happy about this because it seems to be simply impossible to lose weight using other diets. At this point I am very optimistic although I must admit at the beginning I was doubting I'd achieve the same success as others on the forum. My only problem now is that I am obsessed with the scale! I seem to weigh myself a million times a day if given the opportunity . I know I shouldn't weigh myself at night but I can't control it...and the worst thing is that each night I get discouraged when I see the number on the scale goes up instead of down. I really hope to get over this obsession, but most importantly, I really hope to continue losing weight and finally reach my goal! I'm sure I'll be needing all the support and advice I can get to get to where I want to be, so please give me feedback!!!

I have the same obsession with the scale. The only difference is I don't let it bother me. I compare night to night weights and morning to morning. I don't compare morning to night weigh ins. Also keep in mind there are going to be fluctuations and if you're doing everything right and there is a small gain -- even comparing night to night the gain is probably do to water gain -- not real weight. But ultimately look at the big picture. Six pounds in one week is great. I weigh every Monday morning and use that as my "official weight".

good luck.

I used to be very addicted to the scale and I understand that it is very hard to stay off of it. But just imagine for a sec how awesome it would feel to stay OFF of it for 1 week!! And then step up and see a few pounds off. It will feel so much more rewarding. You can't let the scale rule your weight loss journey. Although it is an important ingrediant, it's not the most important. The most important thing is being healthier. Let your clothes tell you have much you have lost (or gained).
I'm trying really hard to stay off! Last time I did this weight thing, hubby had to remove my scale from the bathroom. He put it in the garage. Didn't stop me. My girlfriend came over one day and took it away!!!! I was so upset with her but thankful that she loved me enough to care about my sanity.
Good luck!
Remember....you can't loose 10 pounds without losing 1 first!

Congrats on your loss.. I am starting week 3 on Phen and have lost 12 pounds so far...

I did have a bit of an old habit of eating to much today for some reason.. Hopefully that is out of my system and I can move on tomorrow to my new healthy ways.....
