My Dr. said she can only give my Phen for 2 months, seems like a short time, plus I asked her for the minimal mg since I am afraid to get too speedy, so I take 15 mg a day. Thanks

My Dr said that I will be able to take it for a while! Maybe it depends on how much you have to loose.

Mine said it's only effective in most people for 4-6 months, so he prescribes it for that amount of time and then takes a break and then will prescribe it again later if needed.

My doctor told me about the same thing as mommieof2's. It's only typically prescribed for up to 6 months because of health risks. My dr would check my blood pressure once a month before giving me my prescription.

My doc says the FDA is cracking down on physicians and he will only prescribe me phen for 3 months so as not to draw suspicions. Hope I can impress him with my progress and persuade him to let me go longer. In the meantime, knowing I can only get 3 months of it has motivated me to buckle down and get serious.

My doctor said that I could stay on it as long as I needed to reach my goal weight, just as long as I show that its helping me to lose weight and not helping me maintain my weight. If I should come to a period where I'm not losing anymore weight, then he will stop for a little while. Although he didnt tell me how long of a break it would be though..

My doctor gave me a one month supply and I have to go back at the end of this week to have blood pressure,etc checked. I am praying he will prescribe more for me!!
