On Aug. 16th I am having my 4 wisdom teeth removed. I will be fully sedated and on Percocett after the surgery. Is there a time frame I should stop taking the phen before/after? My Dr said its ok to keep taking it... but I think I will call the oral surgeon just to be safe. What do you guys think? If it was just dental work I would not be concerned, but the fact that I will be "knocked out" as me concerned!

Started Phentermine and joined the boards on on 7/28/06! Lost 43 pounds in 5 months. Then, Gained it ALL back in the next 8 months.. so here I am restarting over again on 10/25/07.... determined to keep it off this time!

I would definitely get a second opinion. Sure wouldn't hurt! Your health is most important and of course peace of mind helps as well!

I would definately check with the surgeon if just to put your mind at rest before you have the surgery.

Good luck, and let us know how it went

I had to be off of it for two weeks before they would allow me to have my sinus surgery. It can cause problems with anesthetic - it may affect your heart. Please let the phen get out of your system before your surgery. Take care!

I called the oral surgeons office and they told me just to stop Phen 24 hours prior to the surgery. So, thats one less thing to worry about. But im TERRIFIED to go in and get my wisdom teeh pulled... im soooooo scared!
