I JUST STARTED TAKING PHEN 3 DAYS AGO AND I'M HAVING BLURRED VISION. WHEN I FIRST WENT TO THE DOCTOR HE SAID MY BP WAS GREAT. SO I'M HOPING ITS JUST A MILD SIDE EFFECT AND WILL GO AWAY WITH TIME.....ITS 3:46pm AND I FEEL LIKE I CAN EAT A WHOLE RACK OF RIBS......THE DOC HAS SUGGESTED 1200 CALORIE INTAKE A DAY....I JUST DON'T KNOW IF I CAN DO THAT....PLUS I WALK NOW IN THE MORINGS 3 MILES....SO THAT'S A START! I SEE ALL YOUR PICS AND I START TO CRY CUZ YOU ALL LOOK AWESOME AND I WANT TO BE THERE EVENTUALLY.....MY HUBBIE REALLY DOES NOT SUPPORT ME, FOR INSTANCE, I STILL HAD TO MAKE HIS CHILE VEREDE WITH HOMEMADE TORTILLAS AND REFRIED BEANS.....AND YES, I SERVIED HIM AND THEN LOCKED MYSELF IN THE ROOM AND GOT ON THE TREADMILL......OH BOY.....LIKE I SAID EARLIER..I LOVE MYSELF ENOUGH TO MAKE THIS WORK.....

ANY WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR ME?

At first, I too had blurred vision...But it went away. Now I feel like I have fur in my throat ALL of the time!!! I cant drink enough water. I am on the 15mg phen. I have not noticed any sign. weight loss as of yet. I am not sure how long it takes...But I am working on it. I waalk about three miles a day also and that is the ONLY exercise I do...I work a desk job.
You took the first steps..just keep the mind set of "Im going to do this!" and you will! When my husband and children eat, I usually just have something small and I drink a WHOLE LOT of water with it. I get full fast....and anymore, the things they have dont look good. I follow a weight watchers guide and that keeps me in the right amount of food that I am supposed to eat per day. lol yeah..no rice..or tortillas here!!! but if I were at your house, I would probably be eating!!
you can always send me a message if you want to talk...ok..?

    Jennifer,

I think it takes a special person to fix a man his meal and walk away from it. It is important to have a great support system someone you can talk to and get a quick WAY TO GO! YEAH GIRL GO! from it is important mentally, and to the diet itself. I want you to know that I signed up here on 9-19 and I have made so many friends that I do not even know but I consider them my freinds, and most importantly my family I tell everyone I have a Phen Family. And they sort of look at me crazy but it is treu. Today without the support of some girls on here I would have admitted failure adn threw my towel in but I know I am not perfect and I am gonna slide a few times, But it isn't how many times I slide it is just making sure that for each time I slide I get back up and learn from whatever caused me to slip. And through this website I am learning all about willpower and that I AM NOT ALONE. The names and pictures may be posted but I can hear their hearts and I hope that you have someone reachout to you and that you feel their heart, warmth and compassion. Everyone on here so far is AWESOME and they are just like me and you they have a need or desire to lose the weight. If you just need to talk to someone or a way to vent please please email me I am a really good listener I know that seems a funny thought since all this is typed but I will try to help any way I can. I am like you I struggle too and that is what makes us human we all struggle, but we have nothing to fear except fear itsself.

Jennifer, maybe if you told your husband how hard it is for you to not only make his food, but to have to serve it to him, he would understand.I know from my own experience, if I cook something I really like, I want to eat some of it.Thats another thing, I dont deprive myself anything. If I want it, I eat it, just a little bit though.I think thats helping me stay on the diet better.I know that we have to cook normal food for our families but it does make it harder on us.So I suggest, if you feel deprived, then have some( small Portion) of whatever it is that is haunting you.And hang in there. It is rough at times but we are all here for you and with you.Just remember to LOVE yourself!!!God loves us all, no matter what we weigh.Good Luck

Thank you stempee33, allstarmommy and Dawn01 for your words of encouragement.

Guess what: I got my husband to walk with me last night, and it was great. So hopefully he will start walking everynight and then maybe he will also change his eating habits....which will make it a bit easier for me.

WELL I GOT TO SAY, I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 15YRS AND I DONT WAIT ON MY HUBBY, LOL. KNOW IF HE WERE SICK THEN I WOULD. BUT I KNOW WHAT YA MEAN ABOUT WANTING TO EAT THE STUFF AND NOT. BUT LIKE ONE OF THE OTHER GILRS SAID, JUST EAT A LITTLE. THAT IS WHAT MY DR SAID TOO, HE SAID IF YOU WAIT AND PUT IT OFF THEN CHANCES ARE YOU MAY END UP LATER EATING MORE THAN WHAT U WANT. SO LET YOUR SELF HAVE A SMALL PORTION. WELL GOOD LUCK AND IF YOU NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO JUST GIVE ME A HOLLER....CUZZZ

I got the blurry vision, too. In fact, I think my vision has gotten worse in the last 2 weeks since I first started taking phen.

I agree with the comments above: Have what you want, just eat a small portion of it, remembering that these changes are for life. You can't (and most of us wouldn't) lock yourself in the room with the treadmill everytime you fix your husband (or anyone else) any dinner.

Can't tell you yet whether the blurriness will go away. Just keep our fingers crossed.
