Tightness in chest!

HI! On Feb. 2nd I went to a doctor and he prescribed me Phentermine and Phendimetrizine. So I have been taking these for almost 2 weeks now. Just in the last two days my chest has felt real tight. Like I can't catch my breath, but I really only notice it when I am sitting down. Does anyone have a clue???

You should be really careful and see your doctor about that - in some cases depending on the person heart palps can happen. Is there a reason you're taking 2 meds? I'm nt knowledgable about phendimetrizine - what does that do?

I don't know much about these but I wouldn't think you are supposed to take them together. I did a search and read up on them. I would do some research. Hope your feeling better.

I go to a Dr. The Phendimetrizine are blue pills that I am supposed to take as soon as I wake up.I am supposed to take 2 or 3. Then at either 10 or 12 I am supposed to take a phentermine. My heart doesn't beat fast but just feel tightness in my chest. I called the doctor just now but they aren't open yet. Thanks for the help.

I was just reading up on it and it seems that your Phendimetrizine does exactly the same thing as Phentermine. It's concerning that your doctor would put you on both rather then just one or the other because it's as if you taking double the dose. No wonder you feel tightness in your chest! I'd ask about just taking one of them. Hope you're feeling ok.

I just made an appt for tomorrow. They just told me not to take the pills today and they would check my blood pressure tomorrow. Thanks for researching.

Went to the dr today and they did a EKG and everything was great. The doc said it was just my body getting use to the pills. Ill keep you guys posted.
