I started out taking the 37.5's at 8 am and just couldn't handle it, the first day was great then after that I got really bad headaches and horrible pressure behind my nose and just felt terrible so I tried what others here do, I cut it in half, took half at 8 am and half at 2 pm and this took away a lot of the side effects and did help me with my appetite but not as good as taking the entire pill.

I just started taking phen almost 3 weeks ago, the first two weeks I lost 8 lbs - but sadly this week I've not been taking the phen as I should, I keep forgetting or I'll only take one half and that just isn't good enough.

I'd like to go back to taking the entire 37.5 pill in the AM, that dosage helps control my eating so much better but I get this awful feeling around 2-3 pm - I start to feel very AGGITATED and MEAN, I get sick feeling - its like I can't stand even being in my own flesh - if that makes any sense!

I know I have gained back half, if not more, of what I've recently lost - I just need to get past that 2-3 pm fall out! Any suggestions?

I mnow exactly what you are talking about!! all your symptoms were just like mine, you know.. I just keep going along... if I would have a really bad day.. the next day I would cut my pill down to about 3/4 (as recommended by my dr) or even less and see how that went. to be honest I have only been on Phentermine for about10 days and yesterday was the very first bearbale day with regards to side effects. I also know what you are talking about regards to the weight gain back.. you just have to keep up with it... also it is totally cool that you miss days...just try to get back on it.;
I hope this helps a little bit... the pressure sdie effects is the worse for me.. it makes me feel like I am getting a cold.. icky

Thanks! I am so glad to hear (well you know what I mean...) that someone else has that pressue behind the nose too! At first I thought I was having a sinus problem but I'd never had a sinus problem that felt like that before!

I also wonder if perhaps that pressue behind my nose is blood pressure related? I only took half this morning and I'll take half this afternoon but tomorrow I think I'll take a whole one and then drop by my doctors office during "peak phen" to see if my blood pressure is high.

Thanks again for responding and I hope to hear from others as well because this can be a kind of frightening thing ~ all of the side effects, warnings from friends and family etc...but hey, as overweight as I am (5'6 240) that fat *is* killing me, its killing me inside and out, physically and mentally, my only other alternative to Phen is weight loss surgery

I am not on the 37.5 pills, are they better than the others? Do you loss weight faster or what is the advantage.

I also get that afternoon intense phen feelings, very unpleasant. Last time though I had a big drink of water and ate something and those symptoms went away quite quickly. It may be that our stomachs are empty, or we haven't had enough to drink and the effects are intensified at that point.

Also I am taking the capsules, maybe the granules are meant to disolve at different rates and the afternoon ones are just kicking in....just a thought

hey i just started it yesterday again but took it 8 years ago and had those same things but it really works too. anyway maybe you guys should couple it with an antidepressant or antianxiety med....it works that way as a diet cocktail and it may alleviate some of the anxiety and aggitation
