Okay there is NO way I gained 2lbs but that is what my scale is saying... it takes an extra 3500 calories to make one pound of fat and I KNOW I haven't eaten that! I've been good! With the exception of last night at the movies when I shared a large popcorn with my boyfriend and a friend and shared a large coke (not diet bc the bf is allergic to aspertame) with my bf! SO HOW is it possible to gain 2lbs?! Could I be retaining water bc of all the salt in the popcorn or could it just be because my digestive track has slowed down? AGH this is frustrating!!!

It's probably water retention. It'll go away in a day or two.

Finley- Get our a larege bowl. Add 8 cups of highly salted popcorn and pour 16 oz of coke over it. Place contents in a ziploc bag and arrange in the shape of your colon. That is where your 2 pounds are

I don't believe that was to be taken as a mean comment. I think that Lucie Lastic was trying to assure you the it was not fat that was your possible issue.

Try eating more whole grain fiber and less things with salt. Also lots of water. I put those individual crystal light packeges in my water and it is amazing how much more you will drink because it is sweet tasting

i agree that it is what you ate last night. its amazing what only a small amount of rubbish can do. i had some on sunday and i couldn't go to the toilet till today (sorry, tmi!). its because it takes longer to digest and its not got enough fiber in it.

I did a cleanse with Oxypowder (www.oxypowder.com and I am in no way affiliated with them) and it really made a difference. Try using it for a week and see if that helps.

yeah...I knew as I was eating the stuff that I shouldn't have been eating it but it's so hard to go to the movies and not have popcorn... probably didn't help that the movie was at midnight (harry potter)! I'm thinking that it could also be that I'm backed up (I know TMI) but my stomach is so bloated and sore! I've added more fiber to my diet (I eat a lot of greens anyway) bc I bought some fiber supplements to mix in with my food. Next time I'll just let the BF get his own small tub of popcorn and a drink. NO more sharing with him!

OMG. I am sorry you thought that what I meant to be funny was mean spirited. It was meant as a lighthearted attempt to help you understan dthat sometimes the food we all eat affects weight loss on a daily basis. I figured we were all in the same boat so we could laugh together, but I'll make a note not to do that with you. I am always trying to be SUPPORTIVE and as my screen name suggests, I try to maintain a sense of humor.
So, put another way, popcorn soaks up water, salt makes you retain it, and the digested form stays in your colon causing bloat and temporary weight gain.
