Question
Hello everyone! I have been taking phen for almost 2 months now. Although I have lost about 20 pounds, I need to tone up alot!!!!! I gained 75 pounds with my 3rd child and my stomach is in need of help. My waist size is 33 and my hips are only 35. My doctor says I need to work on my waist line. I am not sure what exercises to do to help this. Anyone have any suggestions or even workout videos to help me with this. I have only dropped 1 pant size and it is so hard to find jeans to fit me. I am frustrated. Give me some suggestions please.

Cardio, cardio and MORE cardio!! The more calories you burn, the more fat you burn, the more weight you will loose. There isn't really any way to target weight loss. You can (sorta) target toning, but not weight loss. Sounds like you carry your weight right around your waist. I would reduce your daily calorie intake to 1200 or so, and try to do about an hour of cardio 4-5X a week!! This is what always works for me!!!

Good luck

Try Pilates. It works great for pulling in the stomach and toning the buns and thighs. I also recommend other exercise a few days a week, such as swimming, running or aerobics.

Measurements:
Bust - Was 42" ~ Now 36"

Here's a great lower ab exercise that will help get rid of baby buldge (but it's hard). Lay face up on the floor. Have someone stand near your head so you can reach up and grab their ankles. Pull your legs up to the person standing at your head and have them push your legs away from them as hard as they can. Now you stop your legs from hitting the floor, then lift them up again and have the person push them away again. Do this as many times as you can (I couldn't get past 10 reps when I started!). Good luck

Tae Bo Boot Camp!!!!

Billy does great ab workouts and devoted a full DVD to it and it's great because you're not on the floor doing plain old crunches. You can either order the whole set or you can go to Target to buy them separately. And I think Bed Bath & Beyond sells the entire set for like 30 bucks.

Can you tell I love Tae Bo??

everyone here gave excellent advice. i hired a personal trainer a few weeks ago and he said they key to losing belly fat is tons of cardio. then after your tummy starts going down to start doing ab excersises. but cardio is the key to melting away belly fat. good luck to you

You have to do cardio, just toning will only tone the muscle under the fat, and you'll never see a difference b/c the fat will stay the same. Cardio and toning together are the best.
