    I have a problem primarily with eating AFTER dinner, eating on and off till I go to bed.
    My Dr. prescribed the 30mg capsules for me and I'm wondering what's the latest I can take it where it will help me with my 'after dinner' cravings, but not to the point that it makes it hard for me to go to sleep?
    Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    WHY DONT YOU TAKE YOUR PHEN AT 9A AND EAT AT TEN
    AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO
    BUT WHAT I FIND WITH MYSELF IS IF I EXCERCISE I AM HUNGRY AT NIGHT AFTER DINNER
    AND IF I DONT I CAN GO ALMOST ALL DAY WITHOUT EATING
    THAT IS STRANGE
    IT MAKES YOU NOT WANNA EXCERCISE
    BUT DO WORKOUT IT HAS GREAT BENEFITS

    I've had that after dinner problem too, as do most of us. I found that taking it around noon helped a little, and after the first week I never had a problem taking it no matter how late I took it. Once I took it as late as 6pm, simply because I forgot (got up late and had friend over) and even then I slept as usual. It was funny, because I just didn't feel right that evening, like I was in a fog, almost as if the phen made me clearer and sharper, besides keeping my appetite in check. NOt sure how much is psychological, but it seems I have a hard time trying to go off of it----I usually taper down to 1/2 tab or capsule, then 1/4 before stopping for a few mos. Good luck!!

    ooops, I meant I never had a problem getting to sleep, no matter how late I took it after the first week of med. I messed up in earlier post.

    Well I JUST got my phen in the mail right now!! Yipee! It says you should take it 10 to 14 hours before you plan to sleep...so I guess depends on how it affects you.

    The fact that I posted at 2AM had nothing to do with the medication. I've been staying up that late for years,usually going to bed about 1-2AM.

    I've had multiple back surgeries and fusions so it's hard for me to do much excersize. I walk whenever I can(which isn't very often) but unfortunately, that's about all I can do.

    As I mentioned ,I usually eat very little in the AM and during the day. It's just after dinner that I find myself constantly 'grazing' on stuff; yogurt,cookies,ice cream,fruit,popcorn, etc......

    I've had this problem even before I started the Phentermine. I never ate much during the day. I just never felt hungry until AFTER dinner.
    I find that as soon as I'm done with dinner, I'm already thinking about what I'll eat next.
    Maybe I should try eating a bigger dinner as it's far and away my main meal of the day.

    The fact that several posters said it didn't effect their sleep,regardless of when they took their medication, makes me wonder if it would be OK to wait until 2-3PM to take it, which would maybe help my late night 'grazing',but still allow me to go to sleep.

    Again,as someone new taking this medication, I really do appreciate all the help and suggestions.

    Took half today at 10 and the other half at 2. It's 10:30 now and haven't had a thing since dinner(though I'm about to have a small bowl of ceral now)

    For me, that's improvement as i'd usually have had 3-4 snacks by now.
    Also, I don't think feel I'll have any problems falling asleep tonight.

    your schedule has to be according to you
    can you try to eat breakfast and lunch
    breakfast is very important
    you will be fine just plan your meals around your schedule
    and as far as excercise just walk for now with a headphone set
