Newbie gettin bigger as we speak!

Hey everyone!!!! Im Jennifer SAHM to a 2 year old im 25 and im fat lol
So my mom and a friend recommended phentermine to me. Ive gained about 30 lbs in the last 10 months !!! And 10 of that just this month!! Ive recently gotten off of my antidepressants and i cant stop eating !!!!!!! I feel constant hunger !
My BMI is actually 28. Im 5'6 173lbs (last week god only know what it is now) I told my dr about the appetite problem and he just brushed it off like "well if your hungry EAT just eat lettuce or something" ok thanks if it were that east i wouldnt BE FAT! Neither would anyone else int he world if people just ate lettuce all day cmon! Anyway i just called back to make an appt and try to push the issue that i want the phentermine or im getting another dr that WILL prescribe it cuz this is out of control i cant keep gaining weight like this! I have no energy im eating myself to death. I used to be sexy wtf happened here? Anyway im joining a gym this friday I wanna lose some sort of weight by my sons 2nd birthday when all my family flies in from out of town. My mom has told me i look gigantic in all the pictures im so depressed. If he wont give it to me what do i do ? Has anyone ordered from online ? If so from where?

That is not a very supportive thing for your mom to say!

If you go to your regular Doc and he wont prescribe go to a different Dr.

I was on anti depressants and I gaied 45 lbs in 9 months. they are nasty things. I just went to a obsity center here in Ca I dont know where in So Ca you are but there is one in Santa Barbara. go to www.najariancenter.com you will find the information there. I am very happy with the program you take phen and topomax together and in my first week I have lost 7 lbs and have no desire for food. I have to remember to eat. They monitor you closly and it is a Doctor supervised program. Check it out I hope it helps

You need a new doctor. There might be something else wrong that he needs to test you for, like thyroid disease or diabetes. I gained about 60 pounds in a year due to undiagnosed diabetes. The fact that he didn't even consider those things is nuts.

Hi Jenny, I am also new here just joined today and didn't introduce myself yet, looking around a little. First of all, your mother's comments is not what you need to hear to get motivated and focused on loosing weight . It's sad. You are better off looking for support in groups like this one.

For now, I have the same questions as you: how to get dr prescription and if I can't get it from a dr, which website is reputable enough to buy it from.

I could tell you about what my mother was like after I put on just a few pounds at puberty! After that until the day she passed I think she based the way she treated me on if I was dieting or not! If she was trying to induce an eating disorder she failed! I rebelled and ate more, thereby eating my way up to my current weight along with "help" from medications I have been on/are on. Prozac and Paxil made me ravenous. Other antidepressants don't do that to me. I hear Wellbutrin actually takes off weight but it didn't do it for me.

For the "advice" to just substitute salad for your cravings tell the doc to stick it! I've heard that cr*p before and knew it was manure even then.
