When I was 15, I asked my GP for an appetite suppressant and was prescribed Ionamin in minutes. Now it's taken me 10 months, three different doctors reducing me to tears and I had to resort to ordering it online.
Why the attitude change? It worked for me before, I kept the weight off for years and years as it caused me to re-learn portion control, but they didn't even listen to that. I know if I went back to my first GP she'd prescribe it in a heartbeat again but I've moved so I can't.
They didn't do any tests to see if there were any contradicting medical conditions, they just told me they don't prescribe weight loss drugs under any circumstances to anyone.
I feel very uncomfortable taking this without a doctor's supervision, but hey, I tried
