My doctor prescribed phentermine plus a diet plan; however the diet plan is very difficult for me to follow. The diet ranges from 800-1000/ day. It's hard for me to eat the same old bland food everyday. For example, breakfast: 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg and a turkey breast; Lunch: turkey patty, carrots, and side salad. What does your daily menu look like? I am just curious. Is it possible for me to still eat foods that I enjoy and still lose at a steady rate.

Welcome Londa! For me, I use a guide of 1200-1500 calories per day and eat pretty much whatever I want within the calorie limits. I do avoid fried foods, although I will have them occasionally. I do eat the same things a lot, but that doesn't bother me at all!

i would suggest a low cal high protine, yes you can have the same things that you want, and in that situation portion control is the most important thing, remember that one portion is about the size of your palm, i would stay away from things that you know are bad for you like fried foods and such.. i think you will still loose weight maybe not as much as if you were on a strict diet, but you want to do something that you are going to stick with , and if eatting smaller portions is what you think will work for you then go for it!

baby~ once you make your ticker and you are done it gives you a link...scroll down and it will say
BBC code, highlight that left click hit copy, then come here and click on "my profile" which is at the very top of the page, and then scrole down till you see the Signature section, click in the blank space and then left click and past and that should do it

Wow! That's a very strict plan... I've found that whenever I really deprive myself for a long period of time, a binge is soon to follow ("Where did that entire bag of Oreos go?!"). Try mixing up the super healthy (BORING
foods your doctor is recommending, with some "less sensible" options in moderation. Just keep your calories in check and you should be in a perfect position for long-term success.

Well I have other health concerns that will flare up considerably if I eat processed carbs and sugar. My family doc and GI doc put me on it, but since I have been on it there have been no problems with my chronic illness. So strict isnt so bad for me.

MustangSally,
You seemed to have dropped quite a few pounds since you started....other than taking the phentermine and keeping your calories down to 1200 what else have you been doing to make those pounds drop so fast??? I just got my first bottle of phentermine yesterday so today is my first day. |
