Thread: What am I doing wrong? It's only week 2!

    Ok, I started Phen 8/20 and lost 5.4 lbs and it was during TOM. Now I'm back on BC and stuck at -5.4 lbs! I know it's only the start of my 3rd day of the second week, but it seemed to fall off last week and this week not. Granted, I didn't excersize over the weekend besides normal housecleaning, landscaping, etc. I did have about 6 deep fried cheesecurds sat night and drank a couple of drinks. But I hadn't eaten much that day.
    My normal menu is Low-Carb slim fast 190 cals 6 carbs.
    1 cup veggies or cantaloupe for snack.
    Lunch today is 1 piece zucchinni lasagna and 1 cup green beans. (I used to eat 2 pieces at lunch and dinner)
    Dinner is prob 1 piece zucchinni Lasagna leftovers and 1 cup veggies.
    I try not to eat after 6 but I might have a snack of sugar free jello or 2 squares hershey's chocolate (which won't be much longer cuz the bar is almost gone)
    I drink tons of water and work out 4-5 days per week at Curves. I know to give myself time but as most of you know, that's easier said than done. I guess I just need some motivation and some tips. You all are so supportive and I hope can motivate you and learn to support myself as well. I have such bad self esteem. Thanks for listening to my sob story...

    hey Manda
    ya know I am feeling the same way. I am on my third week and alot of weight came off the first week too. I have been doing everything right just like you but the weight is just stuck at the same as last week. I have noticed that I am shrinking lol...so maybe it just doesnt show on the scale but we are losing inches instead. Losing fat and gaining muscle. ya know muscle gain will make the scale not move. My advice is to wait until the weekend to weigh yourself. I do the same thing with the constant peeking..I cant help it. But I have to make myself not do it because it discourages me.Just look in the mirror and see if you are changing and check to see if your clothes are getting baggier. that is the best way to tell you are losing those inches. dont give up...you just started. oh one more thing. I read that it is best to only lose about two pounds a week max. this way when we get all the weight off we wont have loose baggy skin. I hope this helps you just keep on truckin hee hee

    stick in there you lost 5lbs the first week and maybe nothing this week but the next you may lose big again. your body is adjusting and as paisleypears said about 2lbs per week is average, so look at it as the first week you lost for both the first and second week toghether. Hang in there I know it is hard - I'm in the same boat, i am 5'3" and 200lbs and ihave to lose 60lbs so I have a long way to go. Best of luck.

    How many milligrams are you taking? If you are working out that often, then you probably are gaining muscle while losing weight. That's really good! Just be patient and you will see that it is working! Don't weigh yourself all the time!
    I had to put my scale in my garage and every Wednesday when I wake up, i go into the bathroom, brush my teeth, go pee, get completly undressed and go into my garage to weigh in!

    I agree with everyone else. YOu lost 5 lbs in one week, that is great. Some people lose alot fast and some do it gradually, your body has to adjust. Don't get discouraged already, just keep doing the same things you've been doing (except eating fried cheesecurds)ha ha. You will see results. Plus if you are going to Curves you are building muscles. Maybe try 30 minutes of cardio when you don't go to Curves and see if that helps any. I'm sure you'll see better results with your next weigh in.

    Thank you All! I swear, I am my worst critic. I think that I do need to tell my husband to hide the scale, or put it up high where I can't reach (I'm 5'2" ha ha). I guess patience really is a virture and I have NONE. Here I'm trying to tell everyone else the slower you lose it the longer it stays away. I need to listen to myself. I also have to get my butt up on Saturday/Sunday mornings to go for a walk, but it's bear season and there are bears everywhere around my house so I'm afraid it will turn into a run
