Hi,
I just started Phentermine Nov 1st! Starting weight was 192, currently 190!

Only side effect I have had is a little dry mouth and a headache the first day! I take the 30 mg blue and white capsule between 6:30 and 7 am. I have noticed it seems to help me throughout the day but as evening starts setting in I start to get my appetite back! Should I try taking it later and see what happens? I also have started taking the Green Tea 315mg 2 pills twice a day.

My biggest challenge is keeping my hands of Pepsi, and staying away from the chips and junk food. I'm a really picky eater so I have pretty much lived off of Chips, Pizza, Burgers..etc.

I have not incorporated any exercise in my daily routine yet, but plan on starting today. I'm going to walk on my treadmill for atleast a half an hour every day.

Any Suggestions???

Question
Congrats on your starting weight loss. Are you taking a prescription? I'm not taking anything because I have no idea how to get a prescription or even to order it. Could you recommend something... whether a DR or a website.

Good job on your first two pounds. Yes, I think if your hunger is starting to come on stronger in the evening, you should take your pill later. I take mine around 10am.

I have to say... STAY AWAY FROM SODA AND CHIPS AND JUNK FOOD!

And I say that because, while on the phen you have to learn not to eat that stuff anymore and learn to eat healthy MOST of the time or you will gain your weight back when you get off phen. I'm not saying you can't EVER have a Pepsi or some pizza, but that should be only occasionally, like maybe once week.

Start stocking up on healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables, yogurt, whole grain pasta and breads. Cereals, protein bars, and other healthy food to replace the bad food. If you have to have pizza, eat a lean cuisine pizza or a Healthy Choice one.. those are good. I was a "bad food" junkie too. Now I eat healthy MOST of the time by substituting. I'll have a Carnation Instant breakfast in the a.m. (yummy chocolate) or cereal, or eggs and toast. For lunch I usually have a Chicken Fajita Lean Pocket, some carrot sticks w/Ranch dip, (only 60 cals for 2 tbsp) and some pretzel twists. For snacks I have a granola bar or a banana, or a apple w/ 2 tbsp peanut butter, for dinner I cook the same stuff I usually do for my family, but eat smaller portions.

No more heaping helpings of mac and cheese!! No more 5 slices of pizza, no more endless bowls of speghetti. It's all about control and thinking about what is going into your body now. Do you want your body to be healthy? Or fatty? Cause fatty foods make your body fatty!!

I am glad you have decided to start exercising too. That will help tremedously. It will help you burn calories and it will also motivate you to eat better. You don't want to ruin the workout you just did by eating a big fat cheeseburger, right?? Once you get into the habit, you won't want to stop. Give it at least 5 weeks of doing it at least 4 times a week and you will be set to exercise for life.

One more thing... WATER WATER WATER. Trash that Pepsi.. it is bad for you! I know it's great.. I love Pepsi too, but I only have it on special occasions now. Like only when I eat at a sit down restaurant, I'll have one glass. If you are addicted to the caffeine, you'll have to wean yourself off of it. Try going to diet. If you can't go to diet, wean yourself off one day at a time, depending on how much you drink. If it's 3 cans a day, cut down to 2 cans for 2 days, then 1 can for 2 days, then 1/2 can. Drink lots of water... 5 bottles a day. Add Crystal Light to it if you don't like plain water (like me) I add generic Great Value brand Sugar Free Fruit punch to mine. No calories.

You are off to a great start. Phen is not a cure all for weight control. You have to do the work too. Just remember you reap what you sow. If you are good to your body, and give it healthy food to eat, plenty of water to drink, and exercise you will see amazing results!! I am down from a size 20W to 14's. You can do it too.

If you want to join a challenge to help keep you motivated, go down to the "hop to" bar at the bottom and find "challenges" and hit "go". My challenge is the "New Size for the New Year" but there are many to choose from.

Tiffany7: If you have a reasonable amount of weight to lose, you could try going to your Dr. and asking for a prescription. But.. most Dr.'s want you to try to lose some on your own before getting a script. I lost 15 on my own and was stuck and couldn't get any further, and I told my Dr. that and he agreed to phen. Also, they won't prescribe it unless you have over 20-30 lbs to lose. You pretty much have to be considered very overweight to obese to get a script. Check your BMI online, mine said I was obese (even though I don't look obese) and I told my Dr. " I don't want to be obese!!" and he gave it to me. My Dr. is extremely nice though and I've known him all my life.

If you can't get a script you can order online without a prescription, but I've never done that so I can't recommend a good site for you. If you make your own post and ask for a good website, I'm sure someone would let you in on one. To make your own post, go to the bottom of the page on the left hit "new topic" and you'll have your own post.

There's quite a few Dr's at my office that is more then willing to put someone on it. There's even girls that are on it that shouldn't be! One is a size xtra small and she's on it! Another a size 7!

It's crazy if you ask me, but mine didn't ask any questions just agreed to put me on it when I asked! Good luck hopefully u can find someone to put you on it if you want!
